"And what do you believe I gave you?" Kaimiri demanded.

"Surface love, or in other words, fake love" Dark Ashleigh replied, "You used that as a cover and I fell for it. How can you be so selfish?"

Kaimiri was lost for words. Damn...this is why I hate talking to women.... he thought.

"Then answer me this. Do you truly love me?" Dark Ashleigh asked.

"Yes, of course I do!" Kaimiri replied. "Why won't you believe me?"

Jack slammed the door behind him when he reached his quarters. "Damn," he muttered, sitting heavily on his bed. "Why can't I summon my ka like I did in that dimension...?"

Dark Ashleigh clutched Kaimiri's chest, crying. The spirit of the mage appeared in front of him.
"You have finally learnt what true love is. But you still need to learn that power isn't everything" she said.

Kaimiri narrowed his eyes. "What's that supposed to mean?"

"You still have a lust for power and that will kill you if you don't learn now" the mage said, "once you learn that, the curse will break." Once that was said, she dissapeared.
"You know, I was mostly truthful" Dark Ashleigh said.

He raised an eyebrow. "Really?" Kaimiri asked.

Dark Ashleigh nodded.
"First thing, your dad said that I deserved being your second in demand since I'm the most loyal. Secondly, I'm sorry what I said. Forgive me?" she asked, tears streaming down her eyes, mascara running down her cheeks.

Kaimiri wiped the tears away. "I forgive you," he said. "Now, clean your face off. You look terrible with those black streaks down your face. Not fit for a general at all."

Dark Ashleigh nodded, then turned and began to walk away, only to have her arm in Kaimiri's hand.
"What is it now?" she asked.

He kissed the back of her hand. "Now that I am fully healed, that leaves only one task." He said. He took out a box and got on one knee. "Marry me?"

Dark Ashleigh gasped.
"Yes" she said.

Kaimiri smiled. "I knew you would," He said as the woman took the ring. It was a simple silver ring, with alternating blue sapphires and black diamonds set all the way around.

The pair kissed.
"You made me the happiest girl alive" she said.

Kaimiri laughed. "Good," He replied. He stood and scooped her up in his arms. "Now, let's get that pretty face of yours cleaned off."

Dark Ashleigh nodded.
"And about me finding out something, I wasn't lying" she said, "Something that happens rarely."

"What did you find?" Kaimiri asked.

"There are two ultimate shards" Dark Ashleigh replied, "And I know who."

"Who's the other one? I already know about Ashleigh." Kaimiri replied.

"Remember the one you nearly successfully poisioned? What's his name again" Dark Ashleigh teased.

"You're saying that Yugi Mutou is the second Ultimate Shard?" Kaimiri asked. "Well well, it looks like there's a whole family of them."

"Yeah, but I know if a spell is cast twice, you can track it pretty easily, so the spell was the risky temp. spell. That means Ashleigh is still alive. Let's play their little game, and torment Yugi, and attempt to take his shard. That means that Ashleigh will come to us, offering herself up and that's when you get it. But you MUST promise me that after getting the shard, please stop lusting for power" Dark Ashleigh said.

"I promise," Kaimiri said. "After all, once we have the Ultimate Shard, we will be able to call the others to us with no difficulties at all." And then I will have the power to overthrow my father and bring the worlds together.
