"Oh, I been spying on our enemies" the entity said, waving one of her hands to show a screen, "take a look who could be part of our team."

Kaimiri smiled when he saw the young man. "Jack Atlas, one of the Signers." He said. "My my, he does look a little unhappy, doesn't he?"

"Yep, and I though he can join us. He has the right qualities for a solder" Dark Ashleigh replied.

"Agreed," Kaimiri said. "I think I may visit this young man tonight and recruit him to our cause."

"Good luck with that" Dark Ashleigh said, "I need to get fitted for my new uniform."

"Oh really? Then let me escort you." Kaimiri replied.

"Thank you" Dark Ashleigh said.

Kaimiri smiled as the two made their way to Dark Ashleigh's destination. "So, what does this new uniform look like?"

"The federation uniform with colour changing fabric" Dark Ashleigh replied.

"Oh?" Kaimiri replied. "What do you intend the colors to be, when you aren't spying on the Federation?"

"I was going to ask you the same question" Dark Ashleigh replied.

"Completely black, shirt included. I'll keep the tie and lapels white, though." Kaimiri replied. "I can't be seen looking too morbid now, can I?"

Dark Ashleigh giggled.
"You have a good point there" she said.

"I'll wait out here for you until you're done," Kaimiri said when they reached the dressing room.

"All right," The doctor said once the last of the nerves were connected to the housing. "Let's get this thing secured. How's our patient doing?"

"Blood pressure, heart rate, breathing, and body temp are normal." One of the nurses replied. "It looks like the sedative and painkillers are still working."

The doctor nodded. "Good. Now that the hard part's taken care of, let's start on the easier part." he said.

Dark Ashleigh nodded and entered the dressing room.

Max kept an eye on the clock. It's been three hours since Kaiba entered surgery, she thought. She didn't even hear the doors slide open for another visitor.

"Max, we need to talk" said a voice. Max turned to see two people in cloaks.

"And who would you two be?" Max asked.

Both of them took the hoods off to reveal Ruby and her neice.
"There is a few things we need to talk about" Ruby said.

"What do you want to talk about?" Max asked. "If it wasn't important, I know that you wouldn't be coming to me."

"First off, someone if the group is going to betray us" Ruby said, "We don't know who but still, we have to be on a look out for who it is."

"Thanks for the warning," Max said with a nod. "Anything else?"

"There is no choice but to let Ashleigh die" Ruby said, "The Arch Angels reckoned that her shard will overtax Kaimiri and kill him."
"And I'm thinking of leaving the federation" Ashleigh said.

The last two statements caught Max off-guard. "So...everything we've done to prevent your death was pointless." She said. "Damn..."

"what's worse that in 3 months time, I have to choose to leave or stay with you all" Ashleigh said, then teared up. "Why does it have to be me?"
