"Max is heading into the battle." Selena replied. "If you asked me, it's a damn crazy idea."

"I'm on my way." Melhana replied, heading off on the quickest routes. Even though the place looked different, she still knew old Domino like the back of her hand. "Try and keep from getting killed till I get there."

Yusei stepped back. Red Dragon Archfiend, Jack's Signer Dragon. His ka. He thought. Well, if that's how you're going to fight.... Yusei delved into his soul as well, summoning Stardust Dragon. "Just like back at the World Dueling Championship," he said. "Stardust vs Red Dragon Archfiend."

"Except this time you won't win!" Jack replied. "Red Dragon Archfiend, attack Stardust Dragon, and Yusei!" The dragon obediently drew its head back and spewed a jet of flame at Stardust Dragon. The white dragon dodged, but not without being scathed. The jet of fire singed Stardust's leg. Yusei went to one knee as the pain flared in his leg as well, mirroring the damage his ka was sustaining. "On your knees already, Yusei? You really are pathetic."

"Not as pathetic as you right now," Yusei growled through gritted teeth. "Stardust, retaliate!" The white dragon roared in respons to its master's order, and shot a burst of white light at Red Dragon Archfiend. The targeted dragon let loose with another stream of fire to counteract Stardust's attack. The two attacks met in the center.

"Where is she heading?" Ashleigh asked, I might able to talk her out of it."

"I'll try, but no guarantees" Edo replied.

"I don't know; she didn't tell me." Selena replied.

Melhana nodded. "I should be there in the next few minutes." I hope. She added as a thought.

"Push it back, Red Dragon Archfiend!" Jack ordered. "Use your full power!"

I wish I didn't have to do this, Jack. Yusei thought. Jack was too focused on his dragon to notice Yusei taking the pistol out of its holster and taking it off safety. He shot, and the dark blue aura-bullet rocketed at Jack, hitting him in the shoulder. It reacted with his aura, causing Jack to shout out.

As he was hit by the bullet, his concentration on his ka lapsed, and Stardust Dragon's attack went through, hitting Red Dragon Archfiend full in the chest with the blast. Both Jack and the dragon were thrown back, Jack just as injured as his ka. He lay on the ground, motionless apart from his panting.

"Damn it!" Ashleigh said, "I don't want Max to get herself killed...again!"

"Thanks" Edo said, "I'm hiding in the moment but I don't know how long till they find me."

You and me both. Selena thought.

"Stay there. I know a few shortcuts to get to where you are." Melhana said.

Jack groaned as he pushed himself up onto his elbows. It felt like his chest had been hit by a cement truck going at sixty miles an hour. He cold feel the skin starting to blister too. He winced as he got himself into a kneeling position, and then into a standing one. "Fine then, if you want to fight man-to-man as well as with our kas, then fine by me." He said, drawing the dagger from the sheath on his belt. He ran forward to Yusei, yelling out as he thrust the dagger forward.

Yusei blocked with his pistol. The dagger stopped only inches from his face. "Too slow." Jack said, turning to pull a spin kick at Yusei's side. He connected, sending Yusei sprawling.

Jack stepped up to his former friend. At the same time, Red Dragon Archfiend found an opening in the grapple it was in with Stardust Dragon, and slammed its jaws down on Stardust's right arm. Yusei yelled out as he felt the pain and the injury was mirrored on his own right arm. Jack stood over Yusei as his former "friend" with his dagger in hand. He pulled Yusei up by the collar. The pistol had fallen from Yusei's grip and skidded off to who knows where. It was too far away for Yusei to be able to fire another shot at Jack. "Looks like this is it for you," he said, holding the dagger up to Yusei's throat. "Goodnight."

Yusei reached up to something on his neck with his good hand. "I don't think so." He said, a ball of dark blue energy forming in his palm. It was a ball of concentrated wind. He released the compressed air, and Jack was thrown back by a gale-force wind, and slammed into the side of Daedalus bridge.

Amelia tilted her head to one side as they reached the city center.
"Oh no! It's Kaimiri and his father" she gasped.
"Don't worry, I still got the entity with me" Ashleigh said.

"Kaimiri!" Selena shouted, dismounting from her motorcycle and puling her helmet off. She hung it on the handlebar. "Now you pay for what you've done to everyone."

In a little over ten minutes Melhana had made it to the area Edo was in. "You still alive in there?" She asked. Before she got an answer, she shrieked as she was nearly cut in half by a very familiar ka. "Kaiba! What the fuck?! I'm on your side asshole!"

"Then don't run into the middle of the battlefield!" Kaiba shouted back. His aura was blazing, he had his sword in one hand and his staff in the other. He had on his familiar white, billowing coat. Melhana saw a card on his duel disk, and didn't need to guess which one it was; Blue-Eyes. "I thought you were trained in combat!"

"I WAS!!!" Melhana shouted back. "And one of those skills means watching where the hell you attack!" Little did she know, she hadn't closed the link on her Bluetooth.

Edo poked his head out from where he was hiding.
"You could've turned that off" he grumbled.

"You got that right" Ashleigh said, landing on the ground, Yana following, holding her staff.

"Oops...." Melhana said, turning off the Bluetooth. "I think it's OK to assume that you're all right."

Yugi noded, stepping up as well. He summoned his own staff, as well as his ka. Selena stepped up beside him and pulled off her eyepatch, pistol in hand. "You die here, Kaimiri." Yugi said.

"I think not." Kaimiri replied. He had a look in his eye, a madness that wasn't there before. He was completely taken over by the insanity from the power he now had. "Dear Ashleigh, you're back. And here I was, thinking you were dead for good."

"I'm still am since you still get my heart. This is my angel form" Ashleigh snapped. Amelia hopped off the bike, took off the hemet and ran towards to Kaimiri.
"What's going on Kaimiri?" she asked.

"He's drunk on power." Yugi replied. "I don't think he cares who he hurts right now. He just wants to kill everyone right now."

"My dea Amelia! What's happened to you?" Kaimiri said. "I must say, I like the makeover."

Jack came around. Painfully. He'd been stunned by Yusei's attack. They were closer to the edge of the water than he liked. It wasn't too far of a drop, but he still wouldn't want to get blasted off. He wiped a trickle of blood from his chin. Damn you Yusei... he thought in rage.

"I should ask you the same thing. Did you remember the promise you made to me?" Amelia asked.

Kaimiri frowned. "I'm sorry, but I can't recall..." he said, cocking his head to the side. "Nevertheless, this world will end."

"No it won't." Yugi said, holding his staff out in front of him. He uttered a spell in ancient Egyptian, and several vines sprang up through the ground and wrapped themselves around Kaimiri before hardening into diamond, immobilizing the god.

"I'm afraid that won't do much," Kaimiri said, sending a surge of pure power into the crystal vines trapping him. They shattered, and concentrated a power blast in his hand. "Die." he released the power, straight at Yugi.

Yusei activated his duel disk and drew a card from his Extra Deck. Lightning Warrior. Fight with me, Rikuo. He thought, placing the card on the Duel Disk. The armor-clad warrior formed next to Yusei, as well as his twin's spirit. "You sure you can snap him out of it?" Rikuo asked.

Yusei nodded. He pulled the pendant off and transformed it into the Crimson Sword. 'I'm sure.' He replied. 'Whatever it takes.'

"NO!!!" Yana said and flew in front of Yugi, taking the hit, the staff swirled on the ground towards him.
"YANA!" Ashleigh cried and rushed towards her daughter.
Amelia shook her head and walk backwards.
"Kaimiri, no....you couldn't have. You promise that you stop this" she said, tears springing to her eyes.

"Yana...no..." Yugi said, sliding to the ground in shock. Selena ran to the girl and checked her pulse.

"She's in a coma." She said. It barely registered for Yugi.

She shouldn't have taken the hit...she shouldn't have.... He thought in disbelief.

"You never had that card!" Jack exclaimed. "Where did you get that?!"

"A family member." Yusei replied. "My twin brother."

"You don't have a brother!" Jack snapped, his eyes flicking from the warrior beside Yusei to Yusei himself. "I would've known!"

"Because he didn't survive." Yusei replied. "Rikuo Fudo grew up in the Afterlife."

Ashleigh stood up.
"How dare you?" she growled as tears streamed down her face, but it wasn't normal tears. There was a shimmer of white in each tear.

"'How dare you'? What a silly question. I do it because I can. I have the power, why not use it?" Kaimiri asked, concentrating another ball of energy, this one to be headed to Ashleigh. He drew his hand back and released it. "Just like this!"

Ashleigh stood straight in the eye of the blast, getting ready for it, but the ball was going too fast.
Maybe there isn't hope left she thought sadly.

"Yugi! NO!" Ashleigh said and kneel by his side, "Say something. Please!"

"Don't die on me! Please!" Ashleigh cried as some of her tears landed on her husband's face.

Everyone turned to see Gabriel standing there.
"Gabriel" Ashleigh said, "please don't say he's dead, please."

"It's no use, Kamikaze Sakura." Gabriel said. "He is dead, but at the same time he isn't. He's in a kind of...limbo."
