Ashleigh gasped.
"How dare he. First he put my daughter into a coma, now killed my husband. I will take no more of this" she said, standing up. |
"Ashleigh, calm down!" Selena said, but she could tell that Ashleigh wasn't paying attention. She's going to go berserk.

But then something happened, that even Gabriel didn't count on as a ball of wind covered the angel. When it died down. Everyone gasped as they now saw Ashleigh. Her dress was now a deep blood red with an golden waist belt. She wore a golden necklace and two golden armbands on each arm, while her shoes gone a bit more golden. A pair of Blood Red wings sprouted from her back and her hair was now in a high ponytail with a hair braid acting as a hair tie. Her ears now had a pair of gold earrings in them. When she opened her eyes, her eyes was also blood red.
"Kaimiri" she said turing around, "you time has come to die." "Wow, maturity there" Amelia said, walking towards Selena. |
Selena nodded absently. So this is what Ashleigh looks like as an arch angel. She thought.

A red energy ball formed in Ashleigh's hand.
"You are going to pay" she said, then aimed it at Kaimiri. By everyone's surprise, it actualy hit Kaimiri and he flew back against the wall. |
Kaimiri grunted when he hit the wall. Before long, he was back up. "That actually stung," he said. "But, I still have more power than you all combined! I have the Shards!" With that he gathered his power, as well as the power of the Shards, into one huge blast.

"You are forgetting something" Ashleigh replied. And sure enough, a small light appeared inside of Kaimiri.
"What's that?" Amelia asked Gabriel. |
"Kaimiri is a creature of darkness, and Ashleigh is a creature of light. The two nullify each other." Gabriel replied.
"So you had a twin brother who was never born? Hah." Jack replied. "You must be losing it." "He's not." Rikuo said suddenly, making his spirit form visible to Jack. The dragon's wing Signer stepped back. "Yusei's right, I never got to grow up. I was stillborn, and was raised in the afterlife as a result." |
"So, you mean that the shard is fulled of pure light? And Kaimiri thought he can make it dark?" Amelia asked, confused as the light grew stronger.

"So it seems," Gabriel said simply. Selena frowned.
Oh, he's real helpful. She thought. |
"Face it Kaimiri. You didn't plan on this right?" Ashleigh asked, seeing the look on Kaimiri's face.

"I may have not planned on it, but I WILL overcome it!" He said.
"Let's just get this show on the road." Jack said. "Enough of the kas. Let's make this a fight hand-to-hand." "Fine." Yusei said, closing his eyes. He summoned back is ka. "Rikuo, stay out of this. I know you're a spirit, but I don't want to take any risks." He took Lightning Warrior off of his Duel Disk. "I will." Rikuo said, fading back out of sight to all but Yusei. "Just don't get killed. I don't want to see you in the Afterlife again for a very long time." |
"Oh yeah? Want a bet on it?" Ashleigh asked.

"I believe I already have." Kaimiri replied.

"Then you better look again Kaimiri" Ashleigh pointed out as the ball of energy started to shrink in size.
"Now what's happening?" Amelia asked as reinforcements arrived. |
"What?!" Kaimiri demanded. "What have you done?!"
Jack made the first strike. Yusei blocked it with his sword. As Jack began a counterattack, Yusei ducked out of the way and landed a punch to Jack's stomach. The taller man grunted and stepped back, before coming in for a fient. Yusei swept his sword up to block, but Jack ducked under it at the last second. "Too slow," He said, and drove the dagger home, into the left side of Yusei's abdomen. Yusei froze when he felt the blade stab into him. He collapsed to his knees, clutching the wound as he dropped the sword. "If you're wondering why that wound's more painful than normal, it's because of the poison coating the blade." Jack said. "You'll be dead within the hour." "Heh," Yusei said. "You might want to take a close look." He said. He whispered a single word under the breath, and Jack felt something slam into his stomach, then looked down as he felt something warm and wet seep into his clothes. A gash had been cut into his stomach. He looked up in shock. "You didn't...." Yusei smirked. "I used a wind blade." He said. "It's drastic, but....it's the only way I could think of." Jack tried croaking a reply, but didn't get a chance. He stepped back, lost his footing, and fell the short distance into the water. Looks like it's the end for both of us, idiot. He thought as the world went black. |
"Nothing" Ashleigh said, "only someone as foolish as you could do something like this....wait, it is you. You thought you can use the power but forgot one thing. The shard is different from all of the other shards. It's made out of pure light."

Yusei fell to the ground, panting. He had a hand tight on the wound, trying to supress the bloodflow. D-damn.... He thought. I...I wish I hadn't...had to do that.... He forced himself up, hearing the splash of Jack hitting the water.
"What're you thinking? That wound isn't closing!" Rikuo said. "Are you nuts?!" 'He said this is going to be deadly anyway,' Yusei replied. 'Besides, I didn't mean for that wound to be deadly...if he falls in the water, then it will be. I saw how exhausted he was. I need...to help him.' He finally got himself on his feet, and strode to the edge. He pulled off his jacket, then dove into the water. Hang on, Jack. |
"Amelia, I'm sorry but it's for your own good. He has to go" Ashleigh said.
"I know" Amelia replied, clutching onto Gabriel. |
Gabriel placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. Take him down, Ashleigh. He thought.

With her new powers, Ashleigh made a bigger ball of energy and blasted Kaimiri, who skidded, then was blasted back, right into his father.
"See if you can top that" she challenged. |
"You really are the useless piece of crap I thought you were." Kaimiri's father said. Kaimiri stepped back.
"Father..." he said in shock. |
"It's time for you to pay for what you have done Kaimiri. You hurt my friends, my family, and other people" Ashleigh said, getting ready for the final blow, "It ends now!"

The cold of the water shocked him as Yusei dove in and swam after Jack. The man's white coat stood out like a sore thumb in the dark water. Yet, it felt to Yusei as if he wasn't getting any closer to his friend. Just a little more...! Yusei thought. He was swimming as fast as he could, but it didn't help that the poisoned wound and the cold of the water were sapping his strength.
Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, Yusei managed to grab hold of Jack's coat. Using what little strength he had left, Yusei grabbed hold of Jack's waist and made his way to the surface, lung burning for oxygen. Damn it, come on! He thought, fighting both the current and his own weariness. He had no idea how long he'd been under, but from how he was getting lightheaded, too long. Yusei's head broke the surface at last. He took a deep breath, gasping in the sweet, desperately needed air. He swam to the edge, and hauled himself and Jack back ashore. Turning his friend over on his back, he checked Jack's pulse and breathing. His heart was still beating, but he wasn't breathing. "I'm gonna regret this...." Yusei muttered, and started administering CPR. |
"Gabriel!" Ruby cried as she, Max and Aka arrived, "I just heard what happened. How's both of them?"
