"Then the Queen must have known about it. The future king is the only one who can work the key properly if the princess is close to death!" Lanchia replied, "Uriel! We actually found the future king!"

"Indeed we have," Uriel said.
"Uh, okay then...." Yugi said. "Why can't I just have a normal life?" He sighed. |
"I wish we all had. I was orginally was training to be a mage myself" Lanchia replied, "and here I am instead."

"I was a scholar myself," Uriel replied. "All of us were hoping for normal lives, and yet we are arch angels. The ones worthy of freat power, after all, are those who do not wish for it."

"Like Ashleigh for example" Lanchia said, referring to the sleeping sleeping girl, "she didn't want to be an angel, let alone a princess but she is. But when she returns, she'll be an undercover angel."

"Wow..." Yugi said, looking away. "And...what's going to happen to me when I die?"

"That we don't know. Your daughter is an angel spirit but, we can't put our finger where she belongs, nor you" Lanchia said. Then Ashleigh scream from the aftereffects of the detox.
"It hurts" she cried! |
"Ashleigh," Yugi said. He muttered a spell under his breath to dull her pain, by bringing some of it onto himself. "Rrrg...."

Ashleigh calmed down a bit while the doctors paced cuffs on her wrists and ankles so she won't lash out.
"It hurts" she cried again. |
"Are those really neccisary?!" Yugi demanded. He could feel Ashleigh's pain leaching through the spell, but he could tell that the girl was still in pain.

"You know when she lashes out, she hurt everyone around her. I feared that this might happen" Lanchia replied.

"That still doesn't give you a right to tie her down!" Yugi replied. He widened the link to dull her pain, and supressed a whimper at the amount that flooded into him. Don't...collapse.....

"Yugi! Stop the spell" Lanchia said, "the pain is part of the detox."

Yugi cut the spell and fell to his knees. "Wh-why? Why does this pain have to be part of the detox?" He panted.

"It just is" Lanchia replied, "it's been always this, but never seen it this drastic before."
The other 3 hours went past. Ashleigh gave one last loud scream before falling into a peaceful sleep. "At last, it's all over" Lanchia replied, "She should recover soon. You can stay with her Yugi." Then she and Uriel went out of the room. |
Yugi nodded nd looked back to his wife. "Ashleigh, please make it through this." He whispered.

A few hours later, Ashleigh's eyes fluttered. Yugi rushed to her side and held her hand. The girl's eyes opened.
"Where am I?" she asked weakly. |
"The angelic plane," Yugi replied. "Lanchia brought me here to help you."

Ashleigh looked at Yugi.
"Yugi? Is that you?" she asked. |
Yugi nodded. "Yeah, I'm here." He replied.

"I missed you so much" Ashleigh said, "I really did. Three years can make you really homesick."

"Th-three years?" Yugi asked. "How? It's onlly been a few weeks on my plane."

"Time travels differently here" Ashleigh replied, "four more years and I be home."

"In your time," Yugi replied. "How long will that translate to in the regular plane?"
|
"3 months hopefully" Ashleigh replied, "you won't notice a thing, trust me."
