"Well, I was going to head back to see if Yuma's ready to go back. He's a no. hunter you know" Yuai said.
"I will" Ashleigh said, unknown of fate has in store for the both of them. |
Yugi smiled warmly and nodded. "I'll...be seeing you soon, then." He said.
"No. Hunter?" Melhana asked. "I know you explained it earlier, but I still don't quite get it. Exceed monsters? What the heck're those?" |
"Me too" Ashleigh said, smiling back.
"You won't be alive to see them but I see if I can pull some strings" Yuai replied. |
Yugi smiled and kissed her on the forehead before going with Lanchia. I just wish she could come with now.... he thought.
"Selena will be though," Melhana said. "And what kind of strings are you talking about?" |
"You see" Yuai said "now I want to go back to the federation. I don't want Yuma to be left behind."
"Did she said anything about the wedding?" Lanchia asked Yugi when they walked down the hallway. |
"Yeah," Yugi said, nodding. "She doesn't know who she's going to marry. I'm worried about that....."
"Right. Oh boy..." Melhana said. "I don't have a sidecar, so one of you's gonna have to stay here while I ferry the other back." |
"I can stay" Atem said, "I have to buy food anyway."
"Well, as long she doesn't know it's you, I think we be ok. Usually in situations like that, we have the unveiling so the princess would see who she's marrying and see if the man really will love her. Since it's you and don't want any kissing beforehand, we'll leave it till near the end" Lanchia said, then open the portal, "your daughter will be awake by then. It's a promise. Thank you for your help Yugi Motou, we are truly greatful." |
"Right," Melhana said. "All right, Yuai, get on."
"You're welcome, then." Yugi said, feeling better that he wasn't going to lose Ashleigh. "When will I know this marriage is taking place? And is it really neccisary since Ashleigh and I are already married?" |
Yuai got on.
Home, here I come she thought. "In two months your time" Lanchia replied, "and no. Ashleigh is already married to you but her true self, Malenkia, isn't and since you already know her and love her, it's no problem at all." |
Once Melhana was sure the girl was on and had a good grip around her waist, she sped off. Pushing the speed limit time again, she thought.
"I still don't get how they can be different people. Aren't they both still the same person?" Yugi asked. |
"EEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!" Yuai screamed, "You're going too fast!"
"We don't get it either but yes, she is, but she still having trouble accepting that she has two mothers" Lanchia replied. |
"No I'm not! Too fast is when I'm breaking the speed limit." Melhana replied.
Yugi put a hand to his head. "As if finding out Ashleigh had two names wasn't confusing enough," He said. "Two mothers? One mother-in-law is bad enough...I don't know what I'm going to do with two." |
"We always thought Ashleigh was special, but not this special" Lanchia replied, "On the other hand, at least you know one mother-in-law. For your daughter's concern, next month, she will die but only for an practical assignment for Ashleigh for reserection. If we haven't chosen Yana for this, she be awake by now. That's if you are wondering why she's still sleeping."

Yugi froze at hearing Yana had to die as well. "What?!" Yugi snapped. "As if losing my wife wasn't bad enough, now I have to lose my daughter too?!"

"You are not listening Yugi. This is for an assessment. You will get your daughter back the day she lets go" Lanchia replied, "I thought I let you know what is happening before it does."

"I still don't like the idea." Yugi said. "Is this really nessicary?"

"Yes, it is" Lanchia replied, "We thought it will be easier to do it to a family member. If done correctly, she will be able to stay for a couple of hours afterwards."

"It isn't easy for the rest of the family members though." Yugi said. "And will you land Yana with the same choice Asleigh has to make?"

"No. The main point of the Resurrection is that somebody is being brought back to life. Thus Yana won't be able to make a choice. The Choice is rare. We haven't used it in years" Lanchia replied

"So she'll be coming back after she 'dies'." Yugi said. "It still doesn't make me feel any better."

"I know, and it's never easy" Lanchia replied, "you better get going now, the pendant is getting darker."

"Right," Yugi said, stepping through the portal. This is going to be hard, no matter what they say. He thought.

After a while, back in the human plane, Yuma, Astral and Yuai was saying their goodbyes.
"Well I better face the music then" Yuai said, as Laria appeared to bring them back. |
"Good luck with that," Selena said. She was still wearing her riding outfit as Kamikaze Sakura. "And I do hope you don't annoy me too much, Yuma."
"He already has," Astral said matter-of-factly. "I believe one of your comments was along the lines of 'for the love of Ra, not another Jonouchi'." "Well, I can see why I'd say that." Selena said. "I guess you'd best be on your way, then? |
Yuai nodded.
"Come on you three" Laria said. "Right. Time to go with the flow!" Yuma said. He waved goodbye and ran into the portal, Astral and Yuai following, the portal closing behind them, just as Melhana and Atem arrived in the door. "Ah, just the two I'm willing to see. How would you like it if you like to time travel to stop Kaimiri's father once and for all?" Laria asked. Melhana and Atem looked at each other. |
