Selena took a couple of the asprin out of her key fob and handed them to the girl. "That should help you feel a little better," She said.

"Thanks" Ashleigh said and took them with water, "I needed that."
But what happened if I fainted here? It will ruin Melhana's big day she thought. |
Selena nodded in response. Melhana looked between the two. "You're not constantly insulting Selena. What happened?" She asked.

"I grew up, that's all" Ashleigh returned, "I'm not a kid anymore."

"We already knew that," Melhana said. "But even still...half the time you wanted to kill her."

"That's in the past now" Ashleigh replied, "And I don't want to drag that on."

"You seemed perfectly willing before." Honda said, then realized what he said and shut up.
Bakura kicked him under the table. "Real smart," he grumbled. |
"It's complicated to explain" Ashleigh said. Everyone nodded.

"Good enough for me." Otogi said, glaring at Honda.

After the cake and the first dance, the party was in full swing. But the painkillers didn't do anything. So Ashleigh slipped out and headed to the federation. But instead, she headed to the pier my pure misdirection. she looked in teh water.
"What's going on? Why can't I fuse with you?" the princess's reflection asked. "I don't know. Maybe I'm still waiting for Aka to come back" Ashleigh replied. "Well, she isn't coming back. She is now needed on the angelic plane. don't worry, she's still watching over you" the princess replied, "Let's just say, I'm your new Yami, one that doesn't wonder off and such. I would love to learn about this world. So, you have to let me fuse or else neither of us will exist." Ashleigh nodded and closed her eyes. When she glowed her aura once more, she let all defenses down so the two souls finally fused. When it all over, the princess appeared beside her. "You did it Ashleigh Motou. We will be the best Queen they ever saw" she said. Ashleigh nodded, then colasped into the snow. |
As the third dance ended, Melhana and Bakura finallly left the dance floor. Bakura led the pair to where Yugi was sitting, looking worried. "What's wrong?" He asked.

As the woman froze, Uriel appeared and placed a warm blanket over her.
"Should we wait till help arrives papa?" Malenkia asked him, "Or should we take her somewhere where it's warm?" |
"I'll stay with her," Uriel said. "Try and tell her friends where she is."

Malenkia nodded and disappeared from the pier and to the group.
"Yugi, Ashleigh as collapsed in the snow at the pier and needs to get out of the cold quick" she said. |
Yugi stood. "What?!" He asked.
"Go get her," Bakura said. "We'll be fine without you here." "But--" Yugi said. "Didn't you hear what she said? Ashleigh's got to get out of the cold, ASAP." Melhana said. "Go. Like Ryo said, we'll be okay." Yugi nodded and left the ballroom. "Where is she?" He asked. |
"I don't need to tell you" Malenkia replied, "your auras are fused so you be able to track her down. That's the main reason that happened."

"Oh. Right, forgot about that." Yugi replied. He closed his eyes breifly, and Ashleigh's location was shown to him. Okay, less shown, and more he sensed where she was. "The pier," he started off, knowing the place all too well.

By the time Yugi got there, Ashleigh skin was so pale, that it was blended in the snow. She was breathing slower as well.
"There she is!" Malenkia said, pointed where the woman and Uriel was. |
"No...Ashleigh!" Yugi said, cradling his wife close. "Hypothermia..." He looked up to Uriel. "What's going on with her?"
Uriel stood. "It is best we get Ashleigh Mutou inside first, where it's warm." He said. "Then I will tell you." Yugi glared, but nodded. Carefully, he wrapped his coat around Ashleigh and picked her up. "I know somewhere close." He said, starting off fast in the direction of Omega. |
After getting Ashleigh into a really warm bed, the three was in her bedside.
"What's hypothermia Yugi?" Malenkia asked, concerned about what he said. |
Yugi adjusted the warm cloth on Ashleigh's forehead. "Hypothermia is a severe loss of body heat. It's best to keep concious for as long as possible, but there comes a point..." He said, pausing. "If someone passes out with hypothermia, they're risk of dying from it increases. It can be caused from being out in the cold for too long, getting stuck in water, or losing body heat in some way."

"But she was already out cold" Malenkia said, "and it wasn't because of the cold. I guess that she caught it when she was lying on the snow."

"Must have." Yugi said. "Then it's a good thing we got to her when we did."

"Yeah" Malenkia replied, "Papa, are you going to tell Yugi what happened?"

Uriel nodded. "Yugi Mutou, what has been affecting your wife has been the presence of a dual soul. Two personalities trying to take over the other. The result has been the two personalities merging into one, rather than the alternative, which would have been the loss of one personality."
