What is that? Melhana thought, looking around. It sounds like Ashleigh singing.

Sure enough, there was Ashleigh in the doorway. On her wrist was a fragment of the stone she touched. her hands was together just below her neckline, eyes closed.
The rainbow wind blows at a far off coast. Before dawn, there was a melody I heard. It's a very nostalgic song. The birds that fly towards the eastern sky now escape to the treasure island using this shortcut, where the paradise of the seven seas lies. After the stormy night, to tell you my love I will be born again. Melhana blinked, not sure of what was going on, but then she noticed the scent of pine on the air. She turned to face Yugi again, and noticed that his aura was flaring emerald. What is Ashleigh doing? She thought.

Anzu woke up to the sound of the melody.
What's going on? she thought, puzzled. Ashleigh kept singing. Clouds slowly float away, vanishing away as they aim for the rainbow's end. And then the stars, like pearls can start releasing a powerful, wondrous light. From the southern sky, a whistling sound could be heard. Yes, this is the time that's finally come, the time for me to become an adult. While embracing the kind mother's wishes in her heart She wished that everyone would journey on a miracle-filled adventure. With over flowing tears and prayers, I just don't know anymore. "Not a clue." Melhana replied. The pine scent was getting stronger. "Looks like she's using some kind of magic that's activating Yugi's aura."

Yugi's emerald aura died down, but the scent of pine remained strong in the air. Cautiously, she walked over to Yugi's bed. He was still unconcious, but when she placed her hand on his forehead to check a temp, she noticed that his temperature was back to normal. As was his breathing.
"You must've done something to heal him." Melhana said quietly. |
"I used to sing this for fun everytime I had it loaded online but when Joey got serously injured, I sung it out of nowhere and it healed him" Ashliegh replied, not noticing about the golden bands on her upper arms.

"Well, it definitelly works." Melhana said. Then she pointed at the golden bands and asked, "What're those for?"

"Huh?" Ashliegh looked at her arms.
"Are these similar to your bands?" she asked, "I think it make people around me safer." |
"Possibly. Which reminds me, I've gotta get my bands redone also." Melhana replied. She patted the pouch hanging at her hip. "At least I had the brains to gather up the pieces."

"What does the bands do?" Ashleigh asked.

Yugi was stirring. As he opened his eyes, he groaned. "Did anyone get the license plate of the semi that hit me?" He asked sleepily.
"Well, his vocal chords are still working." Melhana said. "As for the bands, they're a kind of magic limiter. I've got them, Atem's got them, Mahado, Ryo, Marik, and Yugi all have them as well. They're used when someone has extremely high levels of magic power that need to be supressed to a managable level, otherwise they'd always be having power outbursts whenever they get ticked off or depressed or something. Like what was happening to you every ten minutes." |
"Who put these on me?" she asked then noticed Yugi.
"Yugi, you're ok!" she cried and ran to hug Yugi....not too hard of course. A tear slid down her face. Marcia raced into the room, being careful not to...well...bumping into Melhana. "The doctor was cheaking about how much the virus has spread in Yusei when a sweet melody rised up. When it finished, the virus disappeared without a trace. Both of them was completely confused and amazed at the same time" she said, "Yusei's cured!" |
"Good to hear." Melhana said.
"Ow ow ow!" Yugi exclaimed. "Ashleigh! Ouch!" |
"Sorry hunny bun" she said and both kissed.
"It's great to see you again. I was so worried about you since we lost contact" she said when the broke off then realised. "MY COMPACT! Oops, sorry Yugi. Didn't meant to yell in your ear." "Anyway, who sung that song? I never heard it before" Marcia asked. "It's best not to know Marcia" Anzu replied. |
"Ow...first I've got a gash across my chest and now I'm deaf in one ear. Can my day get any worse?" He groaned.
"Atem's body was sacrificed." Melhana said helpfully (NOT!!!!!). Yugi banged the back of his head against the wall, and regretted it. "I had to open my mouth..." He said weakly. |
"Does anyone know a spell to bring Atem out of the charm?" Ashleigh asked.
"I don't, he was sacrficed before my powers was complete" Marcia replied then looked at Melhana. Her eyes indercating that she was hatching a plan. "What are you thinking?" she asked. |
"Yugi, would you have any objections to being Atem's partner again?" She asked.
Yugi blinked. "Wait...you...WHAT?!" He finally yelped, attempting to get out of bed, then collapsed back down again due to his wound. "Damn it..." |
"We didn't sacrfice Atem, seroiusly. I was able to rescue his soul before the human side of Zorc returned. Sadly, it was an old charm of one of the dancers called Michelle. But I have no idea where I left the charm" Ashliegh explained.

Melhana reached into her pocket. "Here you go," she said. "I've already talked to Atem about it, and he's perfectly willing. If a bit impatient to get out."
Yugi took a moment to recover from the shock. I'm being given another chance to partner with Atem again! was the thought that kept on running through his mind. Finally, he nodded. "Do it." He said. |
