"I....I....I can see them" Yaya buristed out and clasped her mouth with her hands.
"Huh? Just like us but I develpoed it when I was with you" Ashleigh replied.

"Huh? Ka? What's that?" Yana asked. Ashleigh slid back under the covers and fell asleep.
'A little too much info for now' Atem said.

It was near 1pm and Edo was waiting under the Toyko Tower. He knew that if he looses, he'll be in a death-like coma.
What's taking Sakura so long? if she doesn't turn up when the clock stucks 1, she be in the coma, and not me he thought.

Edo went up the first level and had a good look at Selena and blushed.
"What are you wearing?" he asked.

"A disguise." She hopped down from the railing. "Now, I'm sure you know what I'm here for." She snapped her fingers, and four Dark Signers stepped out of the shadows, and a violet light appeared around them. A fake signer seal glowed on Selena's right arm. Knowing Edo was psi-null, she initiated the mental bond. 'I know this is a stupid question, but you know the risks of this, right?' She asked. From here on in, they had to speak out loud as enemies, while speaking as allies through mindlink. Under her bleached-white hair, she hadd her Demon Eye active to keep the illusion active.

'Yes I do and you nearly faced that. If you said meet me on this level, it would've been a different story' Edo replied and he activated his duel disk.
'Bring it on!" he yelled.

"Ok, draw!" Edo drawed and looked at his hand.
I set 2 cards and set one monster in defense mode. That's all for now" he said.

Selena drew. "I play the Umi field spell." She said. "This gives all my Aqua, Fish, Thunder, and Sea Serpent monster's a power boost." Mermaid Knight's attack rose to 1700. "And I think I'll play this; Chain Spike!" Two chains came out of the spell card's hologram and stabbed through Edo's two face-downs. "It takes all my opponent's face-down's out of play until your end phase. And did I mention that as long as Umi's on the field, my Mermaid Knight can attack twice per turn? Attack his face-down monster!" The Mermaid charged at the face-down monster, slicing through it.


Max was in the lab when Judai entered. "Come in." She said.

"I take it Edo's started his duel?" He asked. Max nodded. "Him, Ryu, Daichi, and me must be all crazy to go through with this."

"You said it, not me." Max said. Judai scowled.

Mahad walked in.
"How long does the coma last? Yana's waking up" he said.
"It's supossed to be at least a few weeks. But I think that she's worried about both her parents" Max replied.

Edo smirked.
"Why did I have that feeling that you were going to attack?" Edo smirked. The monster flipped over and a rock bolder (different than the orginal Gaint Solder of Stone) appeared and hit Mermaid Kight out of the way, causing 1000 damage.
"I knew playing my D-Hero Defender was a smart play" he grinned.

Selena bit her lip as electricity coursed through her. "Nicely played indeed," She said as her Life Points dropped to 3000. "I play two more cards face-down to end my turn."


"A few weeks?! That's how long we're going to be unconcious?!" Judai asked incredulously. "You've gotta be kidding!"

"With any luck, it won't go to that extreme." Max replied calmly. "And you won't be without a pulse or breath for very long; a few minutes at most, so that it can be confirmed by our spies that you're 'dead'. Once the duel has ended, we'll make sure that a chopper is sent out right away so that nobody ends up dead for real."

"It's still unnerving." Judai said, gulping.

Edo smirked.
"Draw!" And he laughed.

"Do I have to remind you that you already won that duel?" Mahad sighed

Selena pressed one of the buttons on her disk. "Activate trap! Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror! This negates all the effects of Dark attribute monsters!" She smirked. "I'll let you get on with your move now."


"Yeah, I know. Still doesn't make it any more comforting..." Judai replied, shuddering. Should've figured that the weirdness wouldn't have stopped when I graduated...

"Doesn't matter. I set 2 cards face down and activate my spell Misfortune from my hand. I choose one face up monster on your side of the field, which is you mermaid, and inflict about half of it's attack as damage. And that is 850 worth of damage. And now, I end my turn." Edo said.

"And that comes from a person that I faced twice and fight with once" Mahad said.

((Um, Selena's Chain Spike card? The two face-downs from Edo's last turn are out of play still...))

"Gr," Selena growled. She drew. "I activate the spell card Card Swap! By discarding one card from my hand to my Graveyard, I can summon one monster to the field, and I think you know which one." Mermaid Knight appeard on the field once again. "But she's not staying long, as I'm sacrificing her to summon Mobius the Frost Monarch!" the knight dissapeared, only to be replaced by a knight in ice-white armor. "And thanks to his effect, I can destroy up to two spell and trap cards on the field. Say good-bye to a couple of face-downs." Two of the cards on Edo's field shattered. "But I'm not done just yet. While Mobius gets the 200-point boost from Umi, he still can't quite beat your Defender, so I'll equip him with the Power of Kaishin, giving him another 300 attack and defense points! Now Mobius, attack his Defender!" Mobius raised the trident and charged forward for an attack.

Judai scratched the back of his neck. "Uh, what're you talking about?" He asked. "I didn't meet you until a couple of days ago..."

Mahad chuckled.
"We have met Judai but this is my human form. Does the name Dark Magican ring any bells?" he asked.

Mahad laughed at Max's reaction.
"Not quite. It's true I had a Magicain as a monster Ka but.....and teh end, I fused with the illusion magican in a battle with the Thief Bakura to become the Dark Magican. Don't believe me? Catch" and Mahad threw his battle wand at Jaden who caught it.
