"I don't know who you are and why you want Ashleigh, but believe me, I'll defend her." Aoi said sternly. Speaking like that she sounded so much like her twin, she idly noted. She held up her Star's Tauk. "I can get you out of here with this or my sword. Or you could just scram on your own. Is this going to be the easy way or the hard way?"
At her feet, her Duel Spirit--Dark Cat with White Tail--hissed, her tail standing straight up and puffing out to twice its size. She was reflecting Aoi's threat in cat-language. |
"I'm afraid you can't do that. I keep following you untill..."
ZAPP! The image of the demon got zapped by Aka's lighting bolt and the demon disappeared and the mirror showed Aoi's reflecton. Last time I'm watching Alice Human Sacrifice before bed Hikari thought. |
"What was that about?" Aoi asked. "Why was that bitch after Ashleigh? Aren't you and her two different people?"

Before Max said a word, Hikari ran down to her quarters. At that time however, Yugi (who was still awake at the time and pulled back Atem) was walking to the staff room to make himself a cup of coffee. Both of them colloided.
"Sorry, I have to get out of here. I'm not safe anywhere" she said. |
"What're you talking about, Hikari?" Yugi asked. "What do you mean you're not safe? What happened?"

"There is a haunting reflection that is following me everywhere and wants me" Hikari said, then ran off. She stopped in her tracks (at that time, Aka took over, making Ashleigh to have a mamory lapst), and turned around to face the man.
"And no-one messes with me" she said. |
Yugi started at the abrupt change in personality. "Who are you?" He asked. The aura was the same color as Ashleigh's, but that was where the similarities ended.

'Remember the lighting bolts you saw the other day?" she asked.

Yugi bit his tongue to keep from laughing. Listening to Melhana and Mahado go at it with the motorcycle lessons had been entertaining. "Yeah," He said. "So you're the one who caused them?"

"Yes. Each Yami has a special quality. Mine is lighting bolts" and she hold her hand out.
"Akatenchi" she said. |
Yugi took the hand and shook it. "Yugi Mutou." He replied.

"Ashleigh has been though alot lately. She thought her Hikari disguise will help her to get a bit stonger but I can't let her to get more stressed and besides, I want some action" she said.

"When you say that you sound like Atem when he's bored," Yugi said.

"Yeah....but serously, I really want to help recovering the Millenum Items because it's Ashleigh's duty to be the Guardian of the Millenum Items" Aka replied.

Yugi's brow furrowed. "I thought that was the duty of Atem and the Egyptian priests back when he was Pharaoh." He said. As he drew his hand away he got a feel for the nature of Akatenchi's aura. A thunder nature. It makes sense, if she can summon lighting bolts. He thought.

"True, but she has power of the Millenuim Items flowing in her veins. Because of that, she's next in line to be the Guardian but she doesn't know that yet" Aka replied then looked at Yugi. He had a confused look on his face.
"Everything ok?" she asked. |
"I was just trying to figure out how she can have the power of the Items. They draw their power from the Shadow Realm." Yugi replied. "If that's the case, then Ashliegh draws her power from there as well."

"Kinda. In one of the earliest stages, the orginal fairy was given her powers by the Egyptian gods themselves. Because of her sacrifice to stop the items for being created, the power was mixed with the magic of the Millenum Items, meaning, if Ashleigh wants to dish out a Shadow Game, she could do that" Aka replied.

"Almost like a living Millennium Item." Yugi said.

"Exactly. That's probaly be one of the reasons why her power started to go out of control and for me to exist. And also for that person that haunt her, normal and (she went down to a wisper) as Hikari" Aka replied.

Yugi was unsurprised at Aka's spilling the beans about Ashleigh's alias. He'd known about it for years, ever since he could distinguish auras. Course, he never told Ashleigh this. "Isn't there anything than anyone can do to help?" He asked.

"First off, drag that image out of the mirror. I don't know how long I can keep zapping it. Then after the raid, you two have to talk about it but whatever you do, don't tell her about the Guardian stuff or about me. Because, like you did, she needs to find out on your own" Aka replied.

"I don't know at the moment how I'll get that image out of the mirror, but I'll talk to Ashleigh about this." Yugi replied, nodding. "I just hope she doesn't panic the moment she meets you."
*** The raid had finally begun. While Kaiba was in charge of this mission, Selena was in the lead so that she could keep a lookout for any minions. This isn't right. There should be more guards. This place is completely empty! She thought. She had her Demon Eye active, and was intending to keep it that way for the entire time. |
"Hikari! It's time to go! The raid's begun" called a recruit.
"You go ahead, I got one more thing to deal with" Aka yelled. "Yes ma'm" and the recruits ran off. Aka looked into Yugi's eyes. "Yugi-kun, let find us an reflection" she said. |
"Right," Yugi said, following Aka.
*** "According to the map, we've got to get to the far end of the complex." Aoi said, figeting with the holographic screen on her headset. "But I'm not seeing any guards." "That's not good," Judai said quietly. Kaiba shook his head. "No, it's not. They're up to something." He said. |
