"it's better than nothing" Aka replied/
"All right," Yugi sighed. "But let's get away from here. Far away. And preferrably somewhere without any people."
"Ok, what about teh wilderness?" Max asked.
"Or just some kind of field will do." Yugi replied.
"I think the wilderness is fine. Hardly anyone- except the army of course for training- goes there" Aka said.
"I hope we don't run into the Army," Yugi said. "Who knows what that thing could do to a large group of people like that."
"Or, if you'd rather not go scouring the globe for some uninhabited area, we've got some areas here you could handle that in." Max said. "We'd have to erect containment fields, augmented with your power, to keep any damage from coming to anyone in the complex." |
"I think that's a better arrangment" Aka agreed.
Before Ashleigh wakes up though. I don't want her to feel unconfortable she thought. |
Yugi nodded. "All right, we'll do it there then." He said.
Max drained her coffee cup and stood. She made her way to the doorway, dropping off her cup as she went. "Then let's get started." She said. |
The pair nodded and followed Max.
"What should we do when we get there?" Aka asked. |
"We'll give you the signal when to start, which'll be once we have the containment fields up. As they're simply technology, I doubt they'll stand up to anything that's powerful enough to torment Mrs. Mutou. That's why you two would have to augment them with your power. I already know that Mr. Mutou here is quite the mage." Max replied. Yugi blushed. "As for what you do, just weave a sheild spell in with our containment fields."
"Me? And how did you know that Hikari is Ashleigh?" Aka asked.
Max tapped the center of her forehead. "I have my ways." She said.
"I'm confused" Aka amitted, "totally confused."
"Max has slight psychic abilities," Yugi whispered in her ear. "Mind you, they're weak. About all she can do is see people's auras and glimpes of the future, on a good day."
"Oh, I see" Aka replied, "So that means, she knew this was going to happen?"
Yugi shrugged. "Like I said, she only has glimpses into the future, and that's on a good day. Mostly it's just being able to see auras."
"Or hearing the people behind me talking." Max replied. "Though Ashleigh's bright red aura is rather hard to miss." She punched a key code into a set of doors. "Here we are." |
"Where's here?" Aka asked Max, still confused.
"That lab I told you about earlier." Max replied. They had entered a large, spacious room which had what looked like monitors all over the walls and holographic projectors in every corner. "Those devices that look like holo-projectors are the field emitters. Those monitors help us 'see' what's going on. As you can see, this place was made for things like what you're about to do." She pointed to a row of angled windows up near the top of the room. "That's where I'll be to monitor the operation and shut it down if anything goes wrong."
Aka just nodded, looking around the lab.
This is something else she thought. |
Yugi entered after her. "I'll be watching from above," Max said as the doors slid shut.
"Well, we'd better get that shield spell ready." Yugi muttered. He couldn't help but be a bit impressed at the size. 'And we might need your help with this, Atem.' He linked to Atem. |
((*prods the RP*))
((sorry but computer was bunged up again))
((That sucks.))
((It's back))
Atem nodded. 'Just let me know when' he replied. "Tell me when to break the mirror Yugi" Aka said. |
Yugi nodded. 'I will.' He told Atem.
"All right, we're activating the containment fields." Max announced from the observation deck. Her voice was being channelled through the speakers. "Get those spells ready, you two." Yugi closed his eyes and went through the shield spell in his mind. It was complicated, and he set it so that it would draw off the power in the generators rather than his own. He nodded to Aka to let her know that she could put hers in place. |
