"You need to recover, and I'm afraid to leave you alone after what you just went through with that demon haunting you." Yugi replied. He kissed the top of her head. "Don't worry, you don't have to go it alone. I can't tell you the number of times I've had to tell Atem that."
*** "Well, that confirms it." Max said. "Confirms what?" Judai and Sakura asked in unison. "Ashleigh Mutou told myself, Yugi, and Atem that the rest of the Millennium Items where hidden in this building." Max replied. "Where, I don't know." The rest of the Items are here? Judai thought. Things are getting confusing.... 'Not hard for you.' Yubel piped up. 'Oh shut up,' Judai replied. Yubel made some kind of noise between a grunt and a "hmph". |
'Says the one who always get told by the others' Atem said in reply, they meaning Joey, Tristain and Tea.
"Then answer me this. What's happenign to me? What is this wrist cuff on my wrist? Why is everyone hunting me down?"" Ashleigh asked, showing a wrist cuff with a fragment of the powerstone, all smoothed out. |
'I've had to say the same thing to you, stubborn.' Yugi replied.
"I don't know." He told Ashleigh. He looked down, his blonde fringe shadowing his eyes. "I wish I did." |
'That was Capsule Monsters you dimwit!' Atem growled.
"I don't know what to do anymore. Should I give up or what?" Asheligh said with tears in her eyes. |
'Yipes! I get it already!' Yugi replied.
"No, don't give up." Yugi said. He unlocked the door to his quarters and led Ashleigh inside. "If you give up, then we're all screwed. Don't even think about quitting." |
"Then what's my role in this? To make everyone suffer?" Ashleigh asked, entering the room. You can see that she was totally and utterly stressed.
'What's you plan excatly Yugi?' Atem asked, corncerned. |
'I'm going to use a spell to calm her down, like I did with Yukai when her power went out of control. Yugi replied.
"I've got no idea, but I can tell you this much," Yugi said. He sat her down on the bed then kneeled down to face her. He cradled her face in his hands. "It is not to make everyone suffer. I felt the same way when things were going sour back in high school, and if it weren't for Atem and the others giving me a lecture about it--and a whack upside the head from Selena and Jonouchi--I would've probably ended up killing myself. None of this is your fault." |
Ashleigh couldn't say anything. Tears fell from her face and landed on Yugi's hands.

Yugi kissed her and stood up. "I'll make you some tea to help you calm down." He said.

Ashleigh nodded.
"Ok" she said. 'If that's where you going to cast the spell, on the tea, make sure she doesn't go into Sleeping Beauty mode' Atem warned. |
'I won't; it'll be a mild spell.' Yugi replied as he put the water on. 'I'm not as much a beginner as I used to be.'

'I know that. All I'm saying is to be moderate with the spell. It might overpower her and fall into a deep slumber' Atem sighed.

'Don't worry, it won't be that strong.' Yugi replied. He infused the tea with a mild sleeping spell, just so that Ashleigh could relax without any nightmares. "Cream with your tea, right?" He called

"No thanks" Ashleigh yelled back.

"Right," Yugi replied. He came out carrying two cups of tea--one for himself, one for Ashleigh. "Here, this should help you calm down. It's jasmine tea." He handed her the cup. "And be careful, it's hot."

Ashleigh took a good drink then dropped the cup before falling onto the floor automaticly.
'I forgot to say that she's easly can fall under spells, especially sleeping spells' Atem said. |
'You could've told me that sooner,' Yugi replied. He knelt down and stroked Ashleigh's hair. "Good, it wasn't any stonger than I'd hoped," He said. He turned to Atem. "Got any idea what all this is about?"

Atem appeared in his spirit form.
"I don't know" he replied. |
"That makes two of us." Yugi replied. He lifted Ashleigh up and placed her on the bed. "I wonder how long that...thing had been tormenting her." He whispered. "We've got to stop this. We've already lost Yusei and Kaiba. We nearly lost Ashleigh. I don't want to lose anyone else."

"You mean we already lost Ashleigh once and nearly lost her a second time" Atem replied sighing once more.

Yugi nodded. He played with Ashleigh's bangs for a while in silence. "Any ideas how to deal with our latest problem?"

"Yugi, I hate to say this but we can't do anything in the moment. We need the two cards" Atem replied sadly.

"Timeaus and Legend of Heart." Yugi said. "Which brings up another problem; where'd they go?"

"Yana has them. How she got them I don't know" Atem replied.

"Yana?" Yugi asked. His daughter had Timeaus and Legend of Heart? "If she's got them, then she might not know how to use them."
