'True,' Selena replied. 'I'm going to go watch the sparring match between Melhana and Jack. This I've got to see.'

'Same here. We better go before all the good seats are gone' Ashleigh said, and the two friends walked to the Gym where a battle was taking place.

"Not bad, Atlas!" Melhana said as Jack parried one of her attacks. "I thought you were just a pretty face and a huge ego."
"I grew up in the Satelitte, of course I know how to defend myself." Jack replied, lashing out with a kick of his own. Melhana dodged, grabbed hold of his leg, and promptly threw him into the padded wall. "How the shit did you do that!?" "I'm stronger than I look." Melhana replied. "Now do you see why I told you to take that ridiculous coat off?" "Just shut up," Jack replied sourly. |
'Here we go. Jack and his pride' Ashleigh sighed.

Reluctantly, Jack took the coat off and draped it over the back of a chair. He came at Melhana again, who once again sent him to the ground without even breaking a sweat. "That's twice." She said.

'Uh oh. One more like that then it's game over' Ashleigh said, 'Poor Jack...'

"Ow, damn it." Jack said. He stood up, and his back popped. Loudly. "What the hell did you do that time?!"
"Oh, just a basic block-and-throw move." Melhana replied idly. "Now, can you please make this a bit more interesting?" |

Ashleigh turned her head and saw Selena rubbing her throat.
'Someting wrong there?' she asked. |
'I don't know,' Selena replied. 'For some reason it's just hurting like a--AGH!! Suddenly, Selena coughed, and she tasted something metallic in her mouth. Shit!

'Doctors quaters now. No arguments' Ashleigh commanded.

'Don't need to tell me twice!' Selena replied. She ran right out of the gym to the sickbay, Ashleigh close behind.

Half way to the sickbay, Ashleigh stopped.
'I don't know if I should go with you or head back to the gym' she said. |
'I'll be fine on my own.' Selena replied.

'Ok, bewcause I have that feeling that one of them is hiding in there' Ashleigh replied and ran back to the Gym.

"YEOW!!!!!" Jack shouted. Melhana had managed to pin his arm behind his back, and it was painful. "LET GO! THAT HURTS!!!"
"That's the point, idiot." Melhana replied. She then flipped Jack, pulling him over her shoulder and slamming him into the ground. On his shoulders. Melhana stood up. "You done trying to get bruised?" She asked. Jack didn't reply, as he was still waiting for the blinking colored stars to stop flying around his vision. "owww...." |
Ashleigh came back into the Gym, seeing what Melhana did to Jack.
OMG. Looks like Jack's starting as a newbee she thought. |
Melhana crossed her arms and sighed. "Get up, we're not done."
"Wha!?!" Jack blurted from his spot on the ground. "That was only the physical fighting test." Melhana said. She held up her hand and summoned a flame of wizard's fire, which burned right abover palm in the color of her aura. "Now for the magical test to see if you can fight with magic better than with your fists." Jack was silent for a few moments before asking, "You're kidding, right?" |

'Why am I not surprised?' Selena asked. She was in the lift, going down to one of the lower levels, still massaging her throat. She coughed again, this time actually seeing the blood left on her hand. What's happening to me?

She didn't feel well so she headed to sickbay Ashleigh quickly wrote and send the paper plane she made to Melhana.
