There are several types of british accent, but i have the typical "posh" one 'cos i'm from Oxford, one of the "posh" areas of england, apparently.

The proper British accent as everyone thinks all Brits have is pretty much contained to those in the London area who can afford to go to a private school and those who can afford elaclution(sp?) lessons.

I don't see why people want elaclution lessions keep your regional accents although there are people who need to come with subtitles seeing as you can't understand them due to a very heavy regional accent.
