We have to from grades one to nine (inclusive) here in Ontario, Canada, Jessi. After all, French is one of our bilingual languages. <3 However, my grade eight French teacher wasn't that great in the sense that she didn't teach us much.. and did other fun stuff with us instead. >w<; And I somehow got exempt from it in grade nine. So my French is very shabby, I'm afraid. D:

Arikana: Oh, I see! n_n I live in Massachusetts, and the high school I went to required at least two years of either French or Spanish, and I took French for 4 and a half years: "world language" (where you decided on French or Spanish, it was half a year for both, but I only took the French one) and then I took French I through IV. =] |
