and sword!

Cicadetta 12-30-2009 03:51 AM

@Jeanne: The '90s is my decade. I am stuck in it.

Jeannesha 12-30-2009 03:52 AM

Arrgh...are we to be pirates?

The 90's? Heck, I'm stuck in the 70's....

zeapear 12-30-2009 03:52 AM

No sword for this avi Lost. Just the eye patch, I'm sorry.

Cicadetta 12-30-2009 03:54 AM

The '70s isn't a bad decade to be stuck in. :)

Who needs a sword when you have a magic wand?

Lost in Austen 12-30-2009 03:54 AM

okay.

im stuck in the late 90s and early 00s. like from 1998-2003. lol

BellyButton 12-30-2009 03:55 AM

I don't feel like I'm stuck anywhere, but I often forget what year it is.

Cicadetta 12-30-2009 03:56 AM

That is very specific, Lostin. It does include two of the Lilith Fair years, though, so I totally approve!

zeapear 12-30-2009 03:56 AM

Beginning of this year I kept writing "2008" instead of "2009" XD

Cicadetta 12-30-2009 04:00 AM

Well, without a tail, I guess the eyepatch is more appropriate. Like a half-blind mouse...

Lost in Austen 12-30-2009 04:00 AM

half-blind mice, half-blind mice. one a penny, two a penny.... wait, wrong song

BellyButton 12-30-2009 04:00 AM

The barber's wife messed you up, yo.

Jeannesha 12-30-2009 04:00 AM

Yea...wow....2010. I never imagined I would get to here...
2000 seems like it was just yesterday.

Lost in Austen 12-30-2009 04:01 AM

i remember the whole Y2K scare and everythin!!!

Cicadetta 12-30-2009 04:02 AM

That was hilarious, that Y2K scare. And now we're supposed to be scared about 2012, for even less concrete reasons. Conclusion: People like to freak out about stuff.

Lost in Austen 12-30-2009 04:03 AM

yup. i joined a facebook group called "In 2013, I Will Watch the Movie 2012 and Laugh"

Jeannesha 12-30-2009 04:05 AM

Yea, that was something. People were sure stupid, weren't they?
<kicks the extra batteries under the bed>

Cicadetta 12-30-2009 04:07 AM

Now I'm looking at the 2010 Lilith Fair stuff. I seriously already have tentative summer plans and I don't even know when these concerts are yet. (Because dates haven't been posted.) But I want to see these people in concert!

Lost in Austen 12-30-2009 04:07 AM

yup. we actually stored some stuff, but not that much. my parents had zero trust for computers back then, though.

Jeannesha 12-30-2009 04:10 AM

That was one year that I stayed up also.

If things were going to go bonkers, I wanted to see it.

Seriously...I worked at IBM, and we did worry about it.
There was a LOT of stuff going on to ensure that nothing happened.

BellyButton 12-30-2009 04:11 AM

I had to help with y2k tech stuff prior to the rollover too, what a nightmare.

Cicadetta 12-30-2009 04:11 AM

I don't think we did anything for Y2K, and my dad's very computer-savvy. It was good that people were preparing for it on the tech end. It was the other people freaking out about that was funny.

Lostin, what does your signature mean?

Jeannesha 12-30-2009 04:12 AM

After 2012, the next computer meltdown year to worry about is 2038.
Something unix-related, I think...

BellyButton 12-30-2009 04:12 AM

Something about going to Dublin and bodyslamming a monkey, right?

Jezriel 12-30-2009 04:15 AM

lol - that sound like the beginning of a bad joke.

So this man goes to Dublin to bodyslam a monkey....
