Xurxo is pronounced

Shur-show!! :3

Cicadetta 12-26-2009 05:00 AM

I never quite got into Austen. I'm not sure why. I think I just prefer weird modern authors, like Kurt Vonnegut. XD

Jeannesha 12-26-2009 05:00 AM

Shur Show....I never would have guessed that.
I'm glad I asked!

Xurxo 12-26-2009 05:00 AM

I don't read very much >> Except comics.

And yeah, its Galacian. It is "George"

zeapear 12-26-2009 05:00 AM

I was saying it zurcso

Cicadetta 12-26-2009 05:01 AM

You read comics, Xurxo? Cool! What do you read?

Linnea 12-26-2009 05:01 AM

@jean: that really is quite the variety lol

Jeannesha 12-26-2009 05:01 AM

Oh no....now I'm going to have to show how limited my intelligence is.

What's Galacian?

Lost in Austen 12-26-2009 05:02 AM

I was saying it "Zurkzo" too! lol

@Linnea: ooh, which Austen book was it? My first was Pride & Prejudice... right after seeing the A&E movie

JessehBoo 12-26-2009 05:02 AM

i just get called Boo, Jess, Jesseh, J-Boo, or Jessi XD

Xurxo 12-26-2009 05:02 AM

Flash, Green Lantern, Batman, Superman. DC stuff, and some others.

But I'm not really into Marvel, for no apparent reason other than it never appealed to me fully.

Cicadetta 12-26-2009 05:03 AM

Isn't Galacian a sort of Spanish Celtic language?

@Xurxo: Ahh, I'm more of a Marvel girl for whatever reason. I do like Wonder Woman, though. Just not as much as the Fantastic Four!

zeapear 12-26-2009 05:03 AM

One more hour :0

BellyButton 12-26-2009 05:03 AM

 Kurt Vonnegut books.

zeapear 12-26-2009 05:04 AM

Hellooo Belly!

Jeannesha 12-26-2009 05:04 AM

I think that Emma was my first Austen book.

I love them all. Her command of the language and her style of writing is so much fun to read.

BellyButton 12-26-2009 05:04 AM

Hiya Zeapear :) - How's it going?

Lost in Austen 12-26-2009 05:04 AM

I'm pretty sure Galician is a Latin language. A Celtic language wouldnt have any X's in it... it would look more like my siggie XD

Linnea 12-26-2009 05:05 AM

@Lostin: it was pride and prejudice... i was supposed to read it in high school... never did... i was supposed to read it in college... never did... i knew the gist of the story... but i could never get through it... i made myself read it around thanksgiving... and i really really liked it :D

@xurxo and cica... xmen!! although that's not dc...

zeapear 12-26-2009 05:05 AM

I'm goin' good belly, how 'bout joo?

Barftastic 12-26-2009 05:06 AM

Merry Christmas!

Xurxo 12-26-2009 05:06 AM

Galician is spoken in parts of Spain? :D

Lost in Austen 12-26-2009 05:07 AM

Yes, i was surprised at how wonderfully the P&P book was able to keep my interest.. even though I'd seen the movie again and again!

Its prolly because it gave me a deeper look into the story.... and I loved the way they talk!!!

zeapear 12-26-2009 05:07 AM

Merry Christmas to you too barftastic!

Jeannesha 12-26-2009 05:07 AM

A Merry Christmas to us all!
