I enjoy dubs, even when they're crappy. Don't know why. :/

I don't mind subtitles, though.... unless they come in the middle of me having to do something at the same time as reading them.

Saiyana2 12-29-2009 05:54 AM

I wish I could understand the original Japanese I really would like to go there some day

Mehimaru 12-29-2009 05:55 AM

Ok, I also agree with that Kasumi. Like when I'm just listening to the anime and playing a game at the same time. But when I'm playing games I'm usually just listening to Japanese music instead of watching the animes.

I WILL go to Japan one day if it KILLS me....I LOVE japan!!!!!

Kasumi Ocada 12-29-2009 05:56 AM

With me, its usually that I'm busy folding laundry or doing something with my daughters at the same time.

LOVELY avatar, Mehimaru. O3O

Mehimaru 12-29-2009 05:56 AM

Ye, yes, Once Piece was a piece of crap, but I was forced to sit through that piece of crap because my lil sis loves it...*sigh*

Thanks Kasumi!!!

There are very few series that i actually appreciate the dubbing~ plus they dont suck as much as they used to. but i still prefer subs anyway X3;

Kasumi Ocada 12-29-2009 05:57 AM

Janus - You should see some of the OOOooooollld anime dubs.... like from the 80's. Watch the 'Heroic Legend of Arislan' or something and you'll know what I mean. >.<

I was supposed to go to Japan this year to take the Japanese Language Proficiency Test, but my funds ran dry since I was laid off earlier this year.

So I took a train from Kansas City to Chicago and took it at the participating University there.

Maybe next year, if I can get my funds back on track.

Saiyana2 12-29-2009 05:57 AM

I wish I could see Trigun the way it is supposed to be.

Nessie 12-29-2009 05:58 AM

The way its supposed to be?

Mehimaru 12-29-2009 05:59 AM

Sai, I would love that too. I enjoy Trigun a lot, although it's slightly weird. I was always thinking I was missing something....

Jezriel 12-29-2009 06:00 AM

My brother is a big Trigun fan. He's got this boxed set that is bilingual. He prefers the English dubs over the original Japanese - and I have to admit it's one of the few series where the English voice actors did a good job. Even if I still prefer the Japanese voices....

Mehimaru 12-29-2009 06:01 AM

*hangs head* Is sad now...I haven't been able to watch Trigun in Japanese...is very sad...and wishes I could....

Kasumi Ocada 12-29-2009 06:03 AM

I've got quite a fondness for some of the american voice actors...

You might be surpized who's the voice actor of Vash is no other then the BLACK RANGER HIMSELF!

Saiyana2 12-29-2009 06:04 AM

Well I think part of it is supposed to be expressed by the dialects Wolfwood's is supposed to be especially funny at times because of how he talks

GrannyJ 12-29-2009 06:04 AM

It appears that the new item is ready, but I believe I need to close my browser before I can bake it.

Jezriel 12-29-2009 06:06 AM

Oh, it IS after midnight. Huh.

And I JUST ran out of Frosting. This will be interesting.

Mehimaru 12-29-2009 06:07 AM

Is happy now...has new EI baking...yeas!!!!

Janus...is it sad that I knew the voice actor cause when I first heard Vash I knew I knew the voice and then drove myself crazy figuring out who it was?

Kasumi Ocada 12-29-2009 06:08 AM

For some reason, I haven't been able to bake anything yet. :/

Jezriel 12-29-2009 06:09 AM

It's definitely been frustrating to try. But after a few refreshes it USUALLY sees my Pantry list right....

Nessie 12-29-2009 06:10 AM

There are some tips and guides on the FAQ page if you cant get the baking thingy to work~

GrannyJ 12-29-2009 06:12 AM

I finally got my ingredients into the oven.
It is taking 5 minutes. That's quite a long time.

Saiyana2 12-29-2009 06:14 AM
