Oh Rei loves many different types of rps, she does happen to like fan-based rps alot, but non-fan based it good too, Rei goes and rps based on a plot though. I could list a million and 20 genres to rp, but it means nothing if there isn't a good plot to rp though.

Though I won't rp yaoi or slash any more, that whole genre has gotten complete over done, it was great when you found that one rp who would rp it, but now everyone and there mother does, and it's to annoying, have no problem with real life people of that orientation, but I don't wanna rp that anymore, that doesn't make me bad does it?

I was given a disk with Pimsleur brand lessons on it. It's not as frustrating as Rosetta for Japanese, which works better for languages with a common root base, like Latin, where you can pick things up by context because they're similar to things you already know.

I will one on one rp with nay one that would like to has. yet to rp on this site as of yet since I frist joined.

@Jezriel: Good for you =) I find it's easier for me just to make up my own ties to remember the words, and using it regularly after that (several of my friends are also home-studying it)

I was in Japanese club in High School, but I'm afraid I wasn't very dedicated at learning it. It was hard to learn that way because we only met once a week and it was taught by other kids. Still, it was fun. I would like to learn more Latin and maybe some other language, not sure what.

Yeah, in general my self study has been more effective. But the nice thing about audio lessons is that you can put them on whenever you've got a task that has you sitting put for a while. Like when I work on making my Jewelry.

Used together, I learn more than doing things all by myself or relying only on the audio.

At least it was fun, Jezriel. I;m not sure I'd enjoy that, though my friends and I sometimes study a bit together. Learning from CDs isn't something I've done but I think it wouldn't be much better. You do jewellry? Sounds awesome =)

I think I'll be sick of it forever, it's the reason I have one rp going on right now because nobody just wants to do a good old Hetro rp, and if I find someone who does, they don't understand basic spelling, and grammar. Then they won't write more than a sentence, which leads me to not be able to write anything.

I was in a ton of RPs on another forum and now cause of holidays, they've all slowed down to a halt. really sad cause i hope they pick up again soon :( ive never done one on one but ive always wanted to. i was gonna start one with someone, but they are busy with a million RPs atm lol/

i know how you feel Rei, i like making really well-thought out posts. although i hate when people "require" like 4 paragraphs a post. sometimes i dont think its necessary. ><;

@Nessie: Yeah that tends to happen when events start up, it always used to kill the good RP's.. that and people not signing on and then it's kind of contagious. I used to RP all the time on Gaia

Well to much description gets annoying a person can't rp off what the other describes, but they can rp off a persons actions or what they say. Oh Rei can make tons of good plots, especially from songs. You wanna read one of my plots? I love sharing plots, that's always a fun part, plus I need some insight on it that isn't mine.

@ Rei: Sure! And I don't describe too much, I just like giving the person a basic picture of what's going on. Usually it's describing body language like "She put a hand on her hip, cocked and eye brow up at him and gave him the look of 'Oh, really?'"
@ Granny: I don't think it matters, 'laughs' conveys the same meaning as *laughs* I just personally use 'Thoughts' "Speaking" *Actions* {or just type out the actions} As long as the meaning is clear I don't think it matters what you use lol.

@Chalkboard: They have a bunch of Italian dishes, it's a kind of semi fancy restuarant. They have mostly pastas but they're all really good!
