I've just recently done a road trip to the east coast, so I'm fairly knowledgeable on time zones. *have been from one end of the country to another a few times*

I've done long travels like that too and gone out of the country muliple times yet I just don't notice those things. Its been a while since I drove to california and when in that direction. Last place I was was NY and canada.

I went to KY just this month. We had to bury my Grandmother.
