I'm sure there are others, but I think Stalking Cat's probably the most extreme example. XD; My ex-fiancee and my friend's ex-husband were big on the furry thing, so I only saw the fandom from the outside, really... And he seems to be doing it less for fandom and more for spiritual reasons. Most of the other people I saw at the convention just did the fursuit or partial costume thing. My ex got a wolf tattoo because that's what she associated herself with the most. xD (Except, y'know, now she claims snow leopard/wolf mix. Go figure.)

Marq - ahh thats interesting :3 yeah maybe try a publisher that publishes books of that or similar sujbects, as someone else has mentioned.

Aah, gotcha. (I googled and found the complicated braid thing, hence my question. XD) I'd definitely go with For-Chan Cookie's response about finding a specialized publisher for something like that. Vanity publishers probably aren't the way to go unless you already know you can sell thousands. :<

Good idea cookie! yea I would have to look into it a bit. I just knew that a lot of people on here have or are trying to write books so I thought I'd just ask! See what happens I get answers ha ha. Thanks you guys... now I gotta go hunt down some equine publishers....

It's definitely a spiritual thing -- if he were doing it for publicity I'd have heard of him before now. xD

one of my cousins is in the navy ^^ he teaches in texas if i remember right. and i have a friend living in VA who is in the navy too.

Right? I'm trying to remember if he had them in during the convention... I feel like he had, like, "normal" piercings in during the convention. (I don't remember them being there when we were giving hugs all around. XD) I imagine they're probably some kind of plastic on metal...? They could be surgical steel, though--it's hard to tell from photos.
