@Naochi - Not really. My mom does it all the time. She fills the washer with soap and water and then wanders away for an hour, a day, a freaking WEEK! Or worse yet, she'll put clothes in it and just let them sit and stew. But if you run the cycle she freaks out because she could have put more clothes in there or she doesn't want you putting the clothes in the dryer. >_<
