Wii
Everyone and their mother has an opinion about the Wii, whats yours? Love it, hate it? Favorite game? Annoying quirk? Funny Story?
Me, I love my Wii, I got it for Christmas. ^.^ It came with Wii Sports, and my mom bought me Mario and Sonic at the Winter Olympics, and my family is now addicted to it! We only have one Wii-mote so we sit around the living room taking turns playing! It's so much fun! |
I've played it once or twice, but have been told it's really a multi player console and isn't much fun when you play by yourself. I'd honestly rather get a PS3 than a Wii, but there are some games on it I would love to play (like Zelda and the New Super Mario Brother). I can't afford wither though <.<
The one thing that ticks me off about the Wii though is all the accessories are really expensive. You need the remote and the nunchuck (as the nunchuck is used in like 70% of the games) and soon you'll need a motion plus for everything too since I've heard Nintendo wants to start making it's future games require it >__< All that together cost like $75. Plus all the games (even on the 360 and PS3) are hyper expensive with an average of $55-65 a game. I love games, I'd consider myself a gamer, but there are limits. I can't afford all this crap XP |
Well, I don't own a Wii, but I do get to use one from time to time. I do like it some, although the controls are a bit difficult to get used to if you've only played regular console games. I like DDR for Wii better than for PS2 (but I only have some of the odd games for PS2 so it's not that great of a comparison). Other than that, I've played a few of the sports (and lost at most of them, but it was fun to try to learn) and Super Smash Bros in which I am perfectly capable of losing to the computer...go me...
Overall, I do kind of like the Wii. I think I might like it better if I actually owned it and could play all the time (if I wanted.) |
I have a wii at my dad's house, but I've never really been all that into it. Some of the games I have for it are fun, but Nintendo has started to annoy me with making so many sequels and spin-offs and everything of their most popular games, and that there isn't an incredible amount of really awesome third party games for it. I think it's a good idea, and it's great for family gaming and stuff... it's just not really something for me. |
I got my wii about 4 months ago I dont really play it at all and I dont know why i got it, I enjoy my PS3 much more... but either way It has the game A boy and his blob on it and i love that game <3 and all my roomys love playing wii sports, but again dont really play it that much *shrug*

My mom bought one near the beginning of 2009. We've only used it about five times since. The gun shaped controllers attracted me. It just seemed like it would be more fun to shoot with something that actually resembled a gun. Unfortunately, it just ended up being insanely annoying trying to keep the reticle on the screen. My friend had no problems, so maybe I'm just unnaturally shaky or something. I have no clue, but it really put me off.
I did have a lot of fun boxing with people though. A couple of months ago, our rabbit somehow got a hold of the power cord and chewed through it. We haven't bothered to fix it because no one really likes it that much to pay for a new one. I think my mom is looking for someone to sell it to. |
I bought one for my birthday, probably about a year after they came out. It was right after they weren't so hard to find, but still selling out. I played it a lot at first, but then I realized there was only a couple of games that looked interesting to me, and even less than I actually liked. I sold it to my uncle around my birthday the year after I bought it, and used the money to get a 360 elite.
The wii has an interesting concept, but the whole "family friendly" thing turns me away. I dislike the friend codes, and the basic menu of it. |
My mom bought me a Wii for x=mas slash/birthday present. cause I wanted one so badly my favorite game for it out of the 2 games I own. would have to be We Cheer2 it has a lot of good music in it. but sometimes I can not figure out how to use the the wii remote for canter moves in the game. is still a new be to the Wii big time.

I like the Wii but I think that the graphics are pathetic. I bought Rockband II for Wii because I have no other consoles and no plan of buying them (I'm no gamer), and it's just sad how horrible the graphics are compared to X-Box. I also think that they could spend some time coming out with some less cheesy games. Honestly, how many versions of baseball does the Wii need? I did like the Prince of Persia game that came out for the Wii system a year or two ago. That was a blast and the graphics were actually pretty nice in that one. I wish they'd come out with more games like that...mayhap God of War or something.
I do like Wii Fit, though. |
I don't own a wii and I probably never will because it would never get used at my house just as my PS2 never gets played anymore. But I have played the wii at my cousin's house and now my best friend just got one for Christmas. She let me make a mii on it, and we played some wii sports.
But I do love the wii games, I just can't play them unless it's at my best friend's which is fine with me. |
We got a Wii for my dad's birthday and got Wii Sport for this christmas! We, being me and mom and dad, played it a lot for a while. Not as much now, but it's still fun.

All of my friends have one, so I've played it at their houses.
It's a neat, little console, but there are few games on it that interest me enough to actually buy one myself. I bought Twilight Princess on the Gamecube, and would much rather play it on the GC than on the Wii. However, I am an absolute sucker for Mario Party and Yoshi games, which kinda makes me want one, as well. They also have the retro Nintendo games available in the Wii Marketplace (Or whatever it's called.) which really appeals to me. And then, the new Zelda console game is supposed to come out sometime later this year. That's what's making me want a Wii the most. I will have to get one eventually, so I can satisfy my Zelda crave. |
I bought the wii back in the day when it was first released ... bought that and the ps3 on pre order and I love it. I spend equal times on the ps3 and the wii. But I'm a huge huge huge nintendo fan. Plus I love mario and the harvest moon series so that pretty much sold me for the system. I haven't found that there hasn't been the same kind of selection of games as their may be for other systems, its just different games. More pg13 or 16and under oriented.... aside from like silent hill anyway. I love 'em all. Still hoping they hurry up and send fatal frame for the wii to Canada.

The Wii is a unique console, however the games are more towards casual gamers than hardcore. I'm a hardcore gamer, and there are a few games that I can think of at the top of my head: Metroid Prime 3, Red Steel and Resident Evil.
