Ceri returned with the pot fairly quickly, poring him a cup. A small drop fell on the tip of her finger and she bit back a hiss, appearing as if nothing had happened when she put the pot down on the table. Wiping her finger on her coat she put her hand into her pocket then, standing slowly and walking to stand against the opposite wall. “Drink as much of the tea as you can….that is if you want to feel better faster… you look so weak as is…” She said it almost cheerfully but it was clear… she’d chosen the furthest spot in the room away from him to stand…

Kry 01-14-2010 09:11 AM

He opened his eyes when she returned with the pot, watching her carefully as she set it down and then moved as far from him as possible. "...Thank you.." He offered her a small smile before reaching for his cup and bringing it to his lips, he drained that cup rather quickly and then reached for the pot. A slight smirk on his lips as he brought the pot to it and poured the liquid down his throat directly from the pot. In a matter of seconds, he had drained the pot of every drop, and slowly sat it down next to his cup. "I'm going back to sleep..Protect the human while I cannot." He leaned back again and those eyes closed once more. This time for sleep.

Ceri watched silently, rubbing the slight burn on her finger that was slowly starting to disappear now. She’d actually use to rather like that tea… but now it was good as poison for her. With a sigh she looked away, letting her mind wander as she kept her distance. As he spoke again she frowned, her ? Protect? “Noble hearted fool…” She muttered to herself, glancing at the tea pot. She should rinse that out before somebody ended up poisoning her with it on accident….

The elf sighed again, walking forward to get the tea pot. As she neared Kiryn, however, she felt the fire inside her hit painfully. She held her stomach and put out a hand to catch herself, smirking a moment. Why had it… then she realized why as her face was so close to his. She hissed in pain, the purity he’d just shown making his form even smell heavenly... The elf shivered, looking away as she whispered to herself “But who will protect you?” and failed to resist the urge to lick her own lips.

Kay had watched them talked through slitted lids. She had pretended not to hear a word and had continued to "study the pictures in the book. Flipping the pages slowly, carefully, moving the book closer as she had pretended study the detail in the pictures. When she saw Ceri lick her lips she knew it was time to act. Only this time Kay had more understand for what was happening with Ceri. She knew now to keep her distance.
Ceri was still giving Kiryn the "Im hungry and you look tasty look" when Kay slammed the book shut and stretched really really big. She gave a satisfied sigh and said "Well Im starved and Im tired of waiting for Lyre to hurry dinner along. Oh that pot empty? Let me help you get it cleaned up." She jumped up and snatched the pot from Ceri's hand and whisked it into the kitchen. Then she went back for the cup. Then came back for the chips. She stood there holding the chips and gazing at Ceri. "Say, while I wash these up, why dont you go see what is taking Lyre so long." Kay was not going to leave the room until Ceri left too. Something deep in her gut told her not to leave Kiryn alone with her just yet.

Myra yawned from within Ceri's pocket, she wasnt able to move other than poke her head out and look up at the rest of the 'clan' which had suddenly formed "what's going on?" she asked quietly hoping to have freaked Kay out with talking, normally, kittens in the human world, wouldnt have spoken all they would have done was meow or something of the sort. Having taken a few trips to kay's world herself she realized that, the human girl would have pulled back and stared down at her with such surprise that it'd lighten nearly any mood "What'd I miss?" she yawned, meowed then purred lightly, kneading Ceri's pocket then laying back down, curling into herself as before, head still poking out of the cloth entrapment.

((Sorry for not posting, but work and school have consumed me for a little bit. Thank goodness i dont have much to do today so i am able to have a day off tomorrow!))

cedura 01-14-2010 05:37 PM

Kay just glanced at the kitten in Ceri's pocket. "Hi Myra, have a good nap? They told me in kitten form you were still completely you. So I guess it makes sense that you can talk. All you missed was a big demon dog trying to attack Ceri. Kiryn tried to help, but he was hit by it. Ceri says it poisoned him. He is resting. Right now I think Ceri was going to go check on Lyre." Kay gave Ceri a meaningful stare so the witch woman would not miss Kay's implications. "Why dont you go along with her Myra. She might like the company."

Staria 01-14-2010 06:12 PM

For a moment Ceri ignored them both, not really able to hear them. She simply stayed where she had fallen, her fingers curling against the wall slightly as she continued her inner struggle. It was not so easy to walk away as it seemed, and yet her face stayed passive. The only thing that showed her inner struggle being her fingernails pressing against the wall.

There was too much innocence in here, Ceri thought absently as she forced herself away from the wall. She walked past Kay without a word, walking to the kitchen table. She picked up a piece of fruit, taking a large bite out of it and closing her eyes a moment. She shivered, feeling the lust for flesh make the fruit taste… strange. Yet she kept on eating the fruit, restraining the demon slowly and wordlessly.

cedura 01-14-2010 06:19 PM

Kay continued to move about the kitchen, looking for something that may have been soap, or a sink for that matter. She found a large hollowed out tree stump set into a counter top and a brussled stick (I guess thats for cleaning) and she figured out how to fill the stump with water from a pump mounted on the back of it (it worked kind of like a faucet, but instead of just leaving it running, you had to push the handle up and down to get the desired amount of water). The water that came out was cool and smelled like the earth, but it was pleasent. Kay through the pot and cup into the sink and began to scrub away. She watched Ceri from the corners of her eyes and decided it was best not to say anything for the time being.

Staria 01-14-2010 06:26 PM

Once Ceri managed to taste the fruit again she let out a sigh of relief. Slowly she let her hand rest against the table, the fruit staying curled in her fingertips. She had no smile for once, simply looking……tired for a moment. Shaking it off she tossed the fruit upwards before reaching out and catching it, considering it in an absent sort of way. She saw no reason to speak, not really having anything to say. Inwardly she was thinking… perhaps returning to underhill had not been the wisest choice… she thought she would find less temptation here, being the demon preferred humans and all, but these people… they just wouldn’t stay away.

cedura 01-14-2010 06:33 PM

After Kay had finished scrubbing the inside of the pot, she reached for the cup and began furiously scrubbing it. The silence in the kitchen was becoming unbearable. Kay hated awkward silences, it left too much room for the mind to wander, and she was determined to not let her mind wander. Already her mind had gone places she had no intentions of letting it like Why didnt I push Ceri away when she was kissing me? And the best answer he mind had given was Because she was pressing up against you in a very seductive..... Yeah not a good answer as far as Kay was concerned. She needed Lyre to come back so she could talk to him. She needed Kiryn to wake up so he could get mad at her for something, for anything. She needed Ceri to say something that might explain what happened back in the hall. But Ceri, it seemed, was not in a mood to talk.

Staria 01-14-2010 06:42 PM

Ceri closed her eyes a moment, continuing to toss the fruit silently. Kiryn was right about one thing… she was likely being too friendly with them. Being home… Being around Lyre again, was bringing out the softer side in her. The weak side as far as she was concerned…the side she couldn’t afford to give in to…Finally she sighed, holding the fruit still as she walked towards Kay. She watched over her shoulder a moment, taking another bite of the fruit. She seemed to be scrubbing vigorously enough that she wouldn’t have to worry at least….

cedura 01-14-2010 06:45 PM

Kay noticed Ceri's approach and her paused in her work, but then continued. She didnt want to be the first to say something, mainly because she didnt know what to say. She didnt know what to think. Ceri had been right in the hall, how could anyone teach her anything when she acted like a know-it-all.... But Kay didnt know what up versus down anymore, and by accident or design, Ceri had made that even worse in the hall with that kiss. Kay wanted to punch something, but she knew that would make matters worse, so she made the poor cup in her hands suffer.

Staria 01-14-2010 06:52 PM

“You’ll have to tell me what that cup did to you sometime,” Ceri observed with a chuckle, patting Kay’s shoulder a moment. She was sure attacking that thing… it was funny in a way. For a moment she tossed her raven hair, walking to the kitchen window and leaning against the wall next to it for a moment. She began nibbling on the fruit a moment as her icy blue eyes gazed outwards. She wondered…just how much had Kay heard.

cedura 01-14-2010 11:24 PM

"The cup." scrub scrub scrub "didnt do." scrub scrub scrub "anything." And Kay had scrubbed so hard the cup shattered in her hands, the jagged edges piercing her skin under the water. Kay was so mad she didnt even seem to notice, she just kept scrubbing the piece she still was holding in her hand.
Kay was mad a Ceri for acting like nothing had happened. She was mad at herself for not understanding what had happened. And she was mad at what ever was inside Ceri that Kiryn had kept talking about. Twice now he has mentioned that thing behind her eyes, and she still lets on like it is nothing, but every time her eyes change, she acts stranger than usual. Kay was begining to wonder if it was Ceri who had kissed her at all... which made Kay even more confused than she already was.
The water in the sink started to turn red and Kay finally realized she was beeding. Well, I suppose that means Im done washing dishes for now. But Kay left her hands in the water all the same. She had seen Ceri react to Kiryn's weakness in the other room, she didnt want a similar reaction to her own injuries now.

Staria 01-14-2010 11:31 PM

Ceri raised an eyebrow a moment as she heard the sheer fury in Kay’s tone. Slowly the elf turned towards her, about to say something when the cup shattered. It seemed that this was getting to Kay far more then she’d let on. Ceri suppressed a sigh, only to bite her own lip as the tangy scent of Kay’s blood hit her nose…sending a shiver down her spine.

“Get your hands out of that water before you hurt yourself worse….you need to wrap them in something and stop the bleeding.” ceri nearly hissed the words, pushing her own back against the wall to stay as far away from the tempting wounds as possible. She looked away, looking ironically almost…afraid of Kay. Or rather….what she might do to Kay. Inwardly she simply thought, Please, please be wise enough to keep your distance …..

cedura 01-14-2010 11:45 PM

Kay looked over as Ceri. "And what would you suggest I wrap them in?" she asked the woman. She had seen Ceri's reaction to the blood, and made several mental notes. Either she really hates blood or she likes it way too much. Either she really is worried about the condition of my hands or she just doesnt want to look at them. I think its the latter of each, and I also think Kiryn is right in most of his theories. When he wakes up I need to talk to him. Maybe talking to him is more important that telling Lyre about it all...

Staria 01-14-2010 11:52 PM

Ceri bit back a growl at the question, rolling her eyes. Slowly, cautiously, she walked forward towards her own back she’d left on the kitchen table. Her head bent forward she pulled out a roll of bandages, shivering once from the pain of standing so close. Pain lurked stronger in her eyes then ever as she held her breath and gripped Kay’s right wrist roughly.

Without looking at the other she simply began to bandage her right palm, figuring kay could do the left herself. Ceri’s fingers worked nimbly but there was a shakiness to them…. A drop of the elf’s own blood suddenly falling out of the piercing on her belly. “I’m beginning to think you’re a damn masochist…” she muttered to herself as she tightly bit her own lip...enough to make it bleed.

Aoi Kazuya 01-14-2010 11:59 PM

Lyre watched the scene from the shadows, observing quietly. Of course, guilt was eating him alive right about now. When Ceri started to bleed he finally stepped forward. he took the elven witch's shoulders quickly and moved her away from Kay, finishing the bandaging himself. Then he turned his suddenly cold eyes to Kay, "Leave. Go wait in the other room where Kiryn is sleeping. I'll be back later." then without waiting to see if she would listen to him he grabbed Ceri's bag and one of her wrists, dragging her behind him as he left the kitchen and climbed up the stairs. Only when they were safely in his room did he let go of her. He locked the door behind him and leaned against it, arms crossed over his chest as he scrutinized Ceri.

Staria 01-15-2010 12:06 AM

As lyre appeared and took the job Ceri felt herself growl but when she looked up at him there was only gratitude in her face… she would never admit it but she nearly wanted to cry from it. It had taken all her spiritual and mental strength with her blood so close… Still.. It wouldn’t last long.

Annoyance began to overtake her features as he dragged her to his room, only her current state of thanks keeping her from kicking him. She hated being dragged off like a naughty child…. But Lyre… Lyre did deserve such….familiarities she supposed. As he leaned against the door she returned his stance by crossing her arms and looking up at him with one raised eyebrow and little expression on her face. “Yes?” she smirked a little.

Aoi Kazuya 01-15-2010 12:14 AM

He blinked and then shrugged lightly, "I'm waiting for you to calm down." he replied, eyes still cold, but not as much as they had been back in the kitchen. This was...strange. he hadn't actually had a proper conversation with Ceri yet had he? Not since she left...a throbbing near his temple foretold him of an oncoming headache, which he dismissed almost instantly, Ceri was the one in pain right now...he could worry about himself later. He uncrossed his arms and took a step forward, a small one and started to lift his arm and then paused, "Does it hurt?" he questioned, voice a mere whisper as his eyes searched her face.

Staria 01-15-2010 12:19 AM

“When am I ever not calm?” Was Ceri’s response, tossing her hair. She wasn’t sure what he thought…about any of this. Discreetly she attempted to wipe away the bit of blood with her glove, the black cloth causing it to blend in so only the moisture showed the truth. Turning to look up at him she tried to look passive, playing clueless. “Does what hurt?” She tilted her head to the side, one long ear twitching as she gazed at Lyre.

Aoi Kazuya 01-15-2010 12:27 AM

There it was again. She really couldn't trust him. He let out a sigh and briefly closed his eyes, when they opened again they were warm again, like they normally were. "Forget it. It was probably my imagination anyway." He murmured. He would go along with her string of lies then, if that was what she wanted, no point trying to play hero when he knew he wasn't anything of the sort...he was more the sidekick that was always forgotten in the end. Someone there to offer morale support when needed...that was all...and nothing more. He quietly unlocked the door from behind him, "I...I'm going to go apologize to Kay now...I'll...come check on you afterward." he attempted a smile and then disappeared down the hall again, stepping lightly down the stairs.

Staria 01-15-2010 12:31 AM

Ceri bit her lip, letting her head dip forward. She’d seen the hurt and she stepped forward a moment. She stood in the doorway, her hair covering her face. She spoke softly, part of her wanting him to hear and part of her not. “Lyre…Thank you….for trying” she murmured gently, adding in her head ’even though it’s unwise’. No… she couldn’t tell him… then he’d try to save her, and the demon would use it to kill him. She curled her hands into fists a moment, thinking absently that maybe she was just as bad as the demon in the end… maybe she really was born in the right family and would hurt people just like everyone in her line

Aoi Kazuya 01-15-2010 01:28 AM

Lyre paused mid-step and shook his head softly at Ceri's murmured words, "Silly..." he muttered and then took a deep breath to compose himself before stepping off the staircase and leaning against the wall. "Why are you thanking me? I haven't done anything to help..." Lyre continued then another pang hit him as his headache came back full force. He slid to the ground, head held tightly in his hands as he wished the headache gone. When had his sanity started slipping? He couldn't remember anymore. Why had it started to slip? He couldn't remember. One of his hands fisted, pulling on his own hair, what could he remember? He stayed like that for a long while, curled up at the foot of the staircase, hands clenched, eyes clenched. To be truthful his whole body was tensed.

Staria 01-15-2010 01:37 AM

“I wouldn’t’ say that…” Ceri stated softly, looking at her feet. As he fell, however, she breezed down the stairs in an instant and was at his side. She was never good at healing magic so could do nothing… simply reaching forward and placing a hand on his knee. “Lyre… Lyre what’s wrong?” She asked with concern, resisting the demon’s sudden squirming at Lyre’s vulnerability. No… Not now…
