(No worries. I have three right now that I'm replying to almost every day XD and they have differnt everything...does get kind confusing. A wood nymph would be cool :) )
Dart shook his head. "He won't. Only, stay in this trree until I say tis safe." With that he took flight, flying low in the trees keeping a watch on the sludge demon and where Cadynce was. |
Ceri had been thinking of the blade, knowing it would keep Kay safe so no longer worried about the demon boy. No, instead she had come to a realization of sorts and it displeased her. She had not been a true blade wielder in the sense Kay was… she was just a carrier, a mule to get it to it’s next place. For all the pain it caused her, it had given her a hope such as only lyre had inspired before it. Though she’d always fought against her family, part of her thought it was in vain… that due to the magic she could pull at and such she was ultimately truly evil as her ancestors and would be for all her immortal elven life…
Now… Now she knew she was nothing to the blade, no source of good against a great tide of evil … just… a useless home for a demon. A shell to contain evil that many believed, perhaps rightly so, would ultimately succumb to the evil within. She suppressed a sigh, looking up as she realized they had reached the hot springs. Absently as she passed Kiryn she touched his shoulder, saying only “trust the blade… if it doesn’t want him dead then there’s reason….” She glanced at what she suspected was an eternal child and shook her head before turning to the hot springs the females were directed too. She would remove her clothing and stuff them into her enchanted bag once she got where the rest of the group couldn’t see, casting a spell of illusion to hide the marred, burned, scared flesh that covered her entire back and bottom…curling around her thighs. Kay was the sort to ask questions and she just wasn’t in the mood. Slowly she sank into the water, staring upwards with her own dark thoughts as company. |
((Aww.. Ceri seems so sad.... I think she needs a hug))
Kay left her clothes piled in a heap, her mind set only on getting in that water. She cannon-balled right into it, splashing water all over her companions. She slowly came back up to the surface and grinned. She swam over to Ceri. "Hey, this blade thing wont rust will it, being in water and all?" She touched the circlet on her head that would not come off. Kay knew it would not rust. But Ceri had been so quiet, Kay just wanted to get her to talk. Kay was hoping to find out what was wrong, troubles never seem so big when they are shared, at least that is what Kay had always thought. |
Cadynce nodded and looked down. She was very small and blended in well with the tree. But, if the demon looked up, her bright blue eyes would give her away. She watched the winged creature fly off, leaving her alone. She rolled her eyes and looked below her. She could hear her heart pounding as she watched the demon walk.
((She's definately a wood nymph. I've never played one before.)) |
(I like wood nymphs :) )
After a while, the sludge demon left and Dart came drifting back to Cadynce. He landed. "Thou arrt safe forr now. I am called Darrt. What name should I use for thee?" |
Dylan
Back in the darkest most shallow end of the underground hotspring stood Dylan. See, Dylan had to sew all of her own clothing for she she was bairly bigger than your hand! A fairy of the healing variety, thats what she was. Her dress was made from the fine silk that she had collected from the spiders in the cave. Her hair was long and wavey, a forest green sort of color, tied back with the same silk; and her eyes were a bright almost neon green that glowed brightly in the dark. See Dylan had found that when she soaked the silk in the hot water she was able to combine her magic with it, then all she had to simply do was sew wounds up and they'd magically be heald! Dylan sang softly to herself as she pulled the threads of silk out of the hotspring that she had left there a week earlier. As she added the threads to the giant spool on her back it turned slightly green color from her magic. |
Kisha turned and looked at the other end other hotspring, the water telling her someone was there. At first, she couldn't see anything. Then she saw a bright glowing green. She dived under the water and swam over, not once taking a breath and causing no ripples in the water. Thus, being a silent presence. When she wasnt too close but close enough, she silently popped her head out of the water. She had made no sound and was there, watching the fairy for a couple of seconds. She smiled. Her voice wasn't very loud, not wanting to startle the fairy. "Hello there. What are you soaking?"
|
Kay stared over at the corner, not being able to see the green glow through Kisha's head. "Who are you talking to over there Kisha... This cave hasnt made you batty has it?" She laughed at her own intended pun and then turned her attention back to Ceri. "Ok, so you are very quiet.... What is wrong?" Kay asked very abruptly, hoping this approach would get more answers for her.

Dylan
Dylan was so much in her own little world singing that she diden't really notice the strange purple haird creature approch her untill she heard her voice. "EEP!!!" Dylan froze and stared for a minute, unable to decide weather to to run or to be friendly, but seeing as it diden't immediatly try to consume her she decided this creature was ok! "Why its the finest healing thread, I made it myself!" Obviously very proud of herself Dylan heald out the thread and walked towards the creatures enormus eyes not realizing she was perhaps a little too close and making her go crosseyed. |
Kisha smiled. She closed one eye so that she could see the fairy right. She very very gently touched one finger to the thread. "That is beautiful. The water hums when you soak it. You must be doing a good job with it." She frowned a little. "Are you all by yourself?"

Cadynce nodded and cocked her head to the left. "Call me Cadynce." she said, smiling a little. She climbed down the tree and looked at Dart. "Is there anyone else nearby?" she asked. |
The Litherra shook his head. "Nobodies ist herre. Dost thou have shelterr forr the night?"
|
She shrugged.
"I live where the trees are, she stated simply. Cadynce sighed and looked around her. "But even the forests aren't safe anymore." she mumbled. |
Dart smiled a little. "Demons arre coming morre forrwarrd. Tis dangerrous timmes, Cadynce. Come, I know of a place forr thou to spend the night." He took flight down below the trees and circled while he waited for the girl to decide if she will follow or not.

((Yeah XD ))
Ceri glanced towards Kay as she interrupted her thoughts once more, raising an eyebrow. “You sure can be a pest you know that?” She reached forward, touching a fingertip to the circlet’s gem. “No it won’t rust, the only problem I ever had with it bathing was the water taking my burned flesh into the crevices. It appears my body reacts as a demonic creature would…. At least I don’t have to worry about that anymore…” She spoke nonchalantly, her gaze seeming even more intense on Kay’s a moment as she studied her. Turning she chuckled her usual dark creepy laugh and glanced away, relaxing into the water. She might be a monster, true… but at least she was a fun one she joked inwardly. She said nothing else, dropping her hand to her side and floating slightly. |
"Maybe I like to be a pest" Kay retorted. She splashed more water in Ceri's direction then ducked under the water. She stayed under as long as she could and then finally came up right next to Ceri and Dunked her under too. Kay started to laugh... whatever was bothering Ceri, she wanted it out in the open. Kay looked over in the corner where Kisha still was to see what she was absorbed in there, "You still talking to yourself or to us Kisha?" Kay was oblivious to the little green fae over there.
|
Kisha snorted and looked back at Kay. "Silly human, mayhaps you should look closer. Rarely do you see others talking to themselves, even here. As a hint, she's green."
|
((She's already climbed down. xP ))
Cadynce looked at Dart and smiled. "Lead the way to safety please," she said sweetly. |
(Ah, oops XD)
Dart took off in a similar direction the demon had gone but he veered more right. He kept a slower pace then he was used to so that the girl could keep up. |
Cadynce had to run along to catch up to Dart. She stopped next to him and looked around her for danger.
"Is there a tree where we're going?" she asked. |
Dart continued on. "In a way, yes. But not the way thou wouldst hope. Just follow."
|
Cadynce skipped after him, the child in her not fearing the danger any longer.
|
He continued to fly for some time until he arrive at a rocky hill surrounded by the trees of the forest. "Herre we arre." He lead the way into a cave, surprising warm for a rocky space. There were large nests here and there made up of leaves, moss, and grass. More beds then nests. Every so often there would eyes reflecting from light, cats eyes. "This is the Litherra's nest. Trry not to disturrb the otherr rresidents and they shalt not harrm you." He lead the way deeper and deeper, where the moonlight stopped shining. His personal nest was almost last. "Thou canst use this nest. Tis mine. Change it as thou pleases to get comforrtable."
|
“I believe you do…” Ceri muttered as she said she liked being a pest, sinking back into the water. She glanced at the splash but said nothing until Kay attempted to dunk her. She went down under hands then turned and pushed kay back into the wall, putting an arm on either side to pin her there a moment. She leaned forward, half growling “You will behave…or I’ll have to bite you again…” She grinned, referring to the time she’d bitten Kay’s lip.
She then turned and released her, glancing to Kisha and the green fae, curious for half a second but dismissing it quickly it appeared. She turned, curling into the water and letting her back stay to them glad of the spell that had hidden her scars from view… |
"Thank you Dart. You've been very kind," she said, giving him a sly smile. She laid down in the nest and curled up. She wasn't tired but frightened instead.
