((yup lol, oh btw XD it doesn't look very clear in the picture but taht's a belly button ring lol, a silver ring with a black stone hanging of it))
|
"Hello" Kay said to the woman who had just approached her group. She looks nice and normal enough, but... Kay had learned that appearances could be deceiving in this world and until one of her new friends accepted the new comer, Kay was leary to do so. Besides, even if she knew nothing about fairies she knew plenty about people, and this woman was trying to hide something in her face, but her eyes had given her away for a brief moment.
|
The wariness didn’t’ seem to surprise Ceri, having long noticed that her aura combined with her smile tended to put people off all on their lonesome… add that to the fact her eyes sometimes gained a hungry look and it was little surprise the smart ones wanted to stay away. For a moment she tilted her head to the side, twitching one long ear in thought as she gazed at Kay. She was pretty, but looked a little lost. Ceri just… stared at her… not bothered at all it seemed by the fact that it was a little creepy…
Within moments, however she smirked to herself and laughed again. “A human here? Things have changed it seems…” She said softly with a far away look in her eyes, just as much to herself as to the others there. She then spoke again, this time with her eyes again locked intensely on Kay’s. Then again.. Ceri’s eyes were always intense as what she looked at she seemed determined to take in completely. “Call me Ceri, who are you dear?” |
"Kay," she said, scuffing her toe in the dirt. The womans intense stare was making her nervous. "I kind of got here by accident," she mumbled. "I mean, its not like there are thousands of us..." She stared at the ground wishing the woman would look at someone else. Her eyes were weird, not like the other Folk she had met.
|
Ceri didn’t seem bothered at all as Kay looked at the dirt, still watching her in that intense way she watched everything…even when she wasn’t really looking at anything in particular. She was a nervous little thing… though she really couldn’t blame her. It intrigued the witch…and enticed the demon, She smiled a bit at the name, speaking thoughtfully. “Kay… A name that can mean most anything…” Inwardly she felt the demon’s rise and called it a nuisance as if it didn’t bother her at all, but decided perhaps she should look elsewhere a while.
The elf smiled to herself a moment and turned her eyes towards the trees to watch a bird the same way she had been watching Kay moments earlier. A mischievous smile touched her lips a moment as she spoke, her voice cheerful… then again it rarely wasn’t. “So where you headed? “ |
Myra looked back at Ceri with a concerned expression, with the same expression she lurched forward quickly regaining her composure just before she managed to push the woman to the ground, instead, she clung to her giggling shyly "You're the woman people have been talking about! your coven.. they're each being executed at dawn on the days others have died" she spoke calmly, carefully and yet rushed. Unable to contain herself, this woman shared an unlikely connection with Myra, both of them werent well liked, although Ceri was assumed to have died in a fire, Myra was given away, having changed hands more than three times. No one truly wanted to keep her, to hold onto her, she tore herself away from Ceri, sighed and continued to lead the others up to Lyre's home.
They turned a corner and there it was, she quickly raced to the front steps, dove between the gapped wood, tore open a bag and undressed herself, she pulled on her hunting 'uniform' instead then emerged from the shadows "LYRE!!!!!" she shrieked giggling stupidly, racing back up the steps and knocking on the door frantically, happily, excitedly "We're here!!!! NYXIE!! COME OUT TO PLAY!!!! please?! it's...IT'S MYRA!!!!!!" most of the creatures in underhill knew Myra, they knew of her antics and detested her. She was a trouble maker, that was well known. |
Kay blinked stupidly as Myra spilled a few secrets about Ceri. what is a coven she wondered. But then before she knew what had happened, Myra had jumped up and raced around the bend. Kay hurried to catch up and then saw Lyre's home again. But she stopped a few yards from the door. She still wasnt sure if Lyre would be upset about the mess. After taking a deep breath and finding her resolve, she went up the steps to stand behind myra, and wait to see of Lyre was home from his shopping expedition. She heard movement in the house, so she assumed he was. Reaching around Myra, she openned the door a crack to peek in.
|
Ceri stepped back in surprise as her unblinking gaze turned to myra, her hand instinctually clamping down on each of the neko’s shoulders a moment. She was surprised, having not really known the girl. Twitching one ear, however, she recognized the unfamiliar warmth as a gesture of friendly greeting and not attack. It was a pleasant surprise.
Awkwardly she patted the girls head as she chuckled at her antic, more amused then anything. She said nothing, however, even as she heard of her coven. She couldn’t say she was surprised honestly… the coven had always been made of the dark, power loving families of the elves. It was one reason she never participated in it…not till she’d found that woman’s plan to push it over the edge into true darkness… she’d stopped her but apparently it had not been enough. Death surrounded them she knew… Sighing for only a moment Ceri’s mask of a mischievous smile came back into place. She appeared as uncaring as ever, her following words as creepy as ever. “They always did have a knack for getting themselves in trouble…I guess that’s just fate…” She then laughed a dark, mirthless sound and glanced at the house. Lyre… closest thing to a friend she ever had…. What a coincidence… As she noticed Kay peek in, playfully she pushed her gently through the door. “He’ll get over it…whatever it is. He always does. Just go inn.:” She then ruffled Kay’s hair and swept in, glancing around the house. It hadn’t changed much…but she had… |
Kay spotted Lyre and started to appologize. But as she peered about the room that only hours ago she had spilled sticky black goo in she saw there wasn't a trace of it left on the floor. It was all back in the jar on the shelf like nothing had ever happened. "Wow... that is freaky... how did you get all of it back in the jar?" She started to pick the jar up to look at it, make sure it was all really there, but then thought better of it. "I hope it wasn't too much trouble to clean." She saw all the grocery bags in the Kitchen. "Wow you found all this in Underhill? This is the first time Ive seen something I recognize. Are there more human places where this came from?" Kay started digging through the bags to see what all Lyre had brought.
|
Myra was behind Kay in just a matter of seconds, she skittered to a stop, giggled then looked up at her "That came from your world, not ours" she said softly, unaffected by Ceri's dark smile, her sinister laugh, then the cynical air which surrounded her, she could have cared less. Myra would admire her till the end of time.
It came, with stunning realization, that Myra had entered a home which was no longer hers, she sighed and slipped out of sight, shifted into her usual cat form, which, was no more than a large, black house cat with stunning green eyes. She giggled, licked one paw and matted her fur down on the side of her face, grooming what she could before curling up on the 'welcome' mat and falling into a light slumber. (<Myra's Kitty .. self>) |
((My cat looks almost just like that just with more white and less furriness My Kitty Very cute kitty pic though Kai))
|
((hehe.... awuh! so adorable!! :3.. kaicake is allergic to kitties in real life.. so is her boyfriend, hehehe thankies! i thought it was an adorable picture! thus why i chose it -nodnod-))
|
((By the way, did Myra just leave her clothes laying in a corned hidden somewhere? Or does something magical happen to them when she shapeshifts?))
|
((Her clothes are uh.. well ... yeah her clothes are kinda scattered across the ground :ninja: lol which means she wont shift back unless she crawls back into the clothes and is able to poof back into them like it never happened ...))
|
Kay sat on a cusion, exhausted from the day and openned a bag of potato chips that Lyre had brought home. As she sat and ate them she noticed Myra was gone, but thought little of it. She is probably off pouncing someone else. Then saw the kitty on the door step. She scooted over to it and dragged it into her lap and began absently petting it as she munched potato chips. I have a lot to learn about this world she thought as she ate. If I am going to survive long enough to ever get home, I better start learning soon.
|
Messy Furball…” Ceri said as she watched her shift and leave her clothing lying around…still there was a soft, amused hint in her tone that suggested she found it more cute then anything. The witch then reached down to gently pat the top of the cute little kittens head. She liked animals honestly, and there was something in her eyes that suggested it even as the demon hissed it’s orders.
The elf rolled her eyes at the inner monologue and hissing the demon spat at her, watching as Kay pulled the kitten into her lap. A smile touched her lips a moment and she nodded to her before perching nearby. Lyre was still in the other room and she wasn’t so sure she wanted to go see him yet. What had he thought of the fire she wondered… |
Myra felt herself being pulled into someone's lap, she instantly began cuddling up to Kay purring deep within her chest, tail flicking contentedly, ears slacking against her head, she yawned, stretched and lazily opened her dazzling green eyes, looked up at Kay then over at Ceri before cuddling back against Kay falling into a deeper sleep. This time, she wouldnt take so easily, the melatonin in her brain was washing over her in thicker levels, giving her the ability to sleep as much as she needed without disturbance.
(night all, my bf is heading to bed which means i can finally sleep! :XD) |
][....-.-....the post I made earlier is gone. And I'm a bit lost. 0.o ][
Kiryn had been silent for the most part. Hanging back a little from the others as they made their way back to Lyre's home. Purple eyes flicking this way and that as they moved. Finally returning to Lyre's home. A slight frown was tugging on his lips and he mostly kept his eyes on Myra. She was a bit tricksy but nothing to bad to worry about..or so he hoped. Once they had entered the dwelling, he moved to sit on one of the cushions. His wings twitching slightly. |
Kay,her mouth full of chips, smiled as Kiryn entered the room. "Chip?"she managed around her own mouthful. "They are tasty." She held the bag out to him, trying to use it as a peace offering for her earlier stunt.
((Kry:: To sum up what you missed Jelly erased a forum or something so they had to revert to lastnights site back up which erased all of todays posts. So everyone tried to include the missing posts in the posts that have since followed the "mistake" we have a new character, a witch/sorceress (she can better tell you what she is) it seems she, Ceri, and Myra (a shapeshifting cat girl) both know lyre from an earlier point in their life. And now we are back at Lyre's nice and safe after a romp in the woods :D Dont worry, when I realized the site was down and that a dozen odd posts had been erased I thought the RP was doomed, but I think we all have recovered nicely)) |
He had sat on a cushion not too far from Kay but not extremly close either. A cushion located just right so he could watch the entire room and the doorways that led into it. When the chips were offered to him, his nose wrinkled in distaste, as he shook his head. "No....No thank you..." After a moments pause he added. "...Don't talk with your mouthful..It is rude." His wings twitched again.

Ownah, Mnemnomancer
Ownah flitted from branch to branch, resting for a few moments on each one before finally flying and landing on the lip of a pitcher plant. It was here that she, at last, came to her rest, sitting down on the rim of the large plant and letting her two insectoid legs hang down in front of her. It was a big plant, and she was a little woman.
She was called a sprite, the much smaller (and fairer, in their opinion) blue-skinned cousins of the common faerie. The sprites, however, called themselves the True Faeries, looking with small disdain on their larger siblings, considering them crass and barbaric in comparison. Thus, Ownah, like all sprites, considered herself above all other living creatures in the Underhill. Yet, she was running. Her flight had brought her all the way from her home to wherever 'here' was. Somewhat thirsty and hungry, the sprite sat down in quiet meditation and recollected on what had brought her to this point. She had found an ogre, a few months ago, wandering around the wooded borders of her homeland. After watching the rather large ogre for a few hours, she had made herself apparent to it and watched it try to swat her out of the air. Her mocking laughter and the ogre's natural bloodlust had insured that it would follow her as long as it could. Thus, she had been able to trick it. One glamer lead him away from home. The next washed away the memory that home had been anywhere but by her side. That ogre adored her after that, and she found it to be incredibly useful. She had continued along her life with her new pet ogre for quite a few months when she received a warning from the authorities that her new pet ogre was an eyeblight on the beautiful sprite foothills. More likely than not, a high-ranking official had been jealous of her new possession, since not all sprites were mind mages of the high caliber that Ownah was. Regardless of the reason, she had responded to the entreaty with nothing but frank hostility. Then, someone had been sent to force Ownah to relinquish control of her ogre. It was this incident that had caused Ownah to flee... It had been Aislin. Damned, dirty, despicable Aislin who had been sent to take care of Ownah's ogre. The beast had been making quite a few court officials very nervous, and Ownah couldn't believe that they had goen far enough to send a powerhouse like Aislin to take care of the seemingly insignificant matter. Ownah sat on her ogre's shoulder as Aislin hovered in front of her. The two women had known each other back at the university, and both were accomplished mages. Whereas Ownah was a master of illusion and mental magic, Aislin was an incredibly accomplished pyromancer, well on eh rway to one day becoming Arch-Pyromancer for the court. It was this same Aislin who was before Ownah with official documents forcing Ownah to relinquish control of her pet. The pyromancer was haughty. The mnenomaner was annoyed. The former said, “The state, on the authority of the queen, has demanded that you take that beast back to where it belongs or kill it. It has no business here and could be dangerous.” Ownah snorted and held her arms crossed tight over her chest. She replied, “I seized control of this simpleton fair-and-square. The law protects me here. It's my property, and neither you nor some stuck-up burghers have any right to tell me otherwise.” Aislin inched towards her nemesis, clutching a necklace tight in her hands, saying, “Except when the security of the state is at risk. What if you lost control of the beast? It could cause significant damage.” Ownah hopped off her ogre's shoulder and flitted to where Aislin floated, circling around her in agitated circles. She would have normally just wiped the whore's mind clean and sent her on her way, but Aislin had prepared for that and come with a magic necklace that rendered Ownah's magicks useless. Aislin kept her eye on her enemy and sighed, saying, “If you do not comply, then I have full permission to execute your ogre myself.” These words brought Ownah to a complete halt. Hands on hips, she glared at Aislin with indignant rage, saying, “You wouldn't dare.” Aislin did not respond with words. She merely began to chant, staring Ownah in the eyes with a wicked glean. The mnenomancer did not intimately know fire-magic, but she knew that whatever this was, it would probably be lethal for her ogre. She called out, “Greth! Attack!” Thus, the conflict began. The ogre took a massive swat at Aislin, who dodged at the last second. She managed to keep up the intonations for her spell while dodging the ogre's several ponderous near-hits. Ownah, not wanting to have her ogre blown-up, resorted to more crude tactics and pulled a sizable, stout stick (for a sprite) off of a nearby tree and zipped to Aislin at top speed. The blow came from behind, bludgeoning into the back of Aislin's head with all of the force Ownah could muster. The pyromancer went spiraling to the ground. Unfortunately, her ogre's hand made contact with her a half-second later, and Ownah could not regain control of her flight before she was sent plummeting into the ground. Her vision went blurry from the pain, and she could smell a burst blood vessel in her nose. What she saw, however, completely overshadowed any pain she felt. Her nemesis had somehow retained her control over her invocation and finished it. Ownah realized this fact too late but still tried to speed to Aislin's location to throw off her concentration. She got there a moment to late, and Aislin's monstrous spell made contact. What had previously been an eight-foot-tall ogre was reduced to a blackened, gore-streaked crater. It's head and some of the rest of its body rocketed off in various directions, away from the point of impact. Ownah stopped mid-air at the spectacle, mouth agape, unable to believe that her incredibly good fortune (of managing to get the ogre in the first place) had been reduced to a few charred cinders in a few moments by some bitch sent by corrupt magistrates. Ownah's pretty face became a mask of rage as she stared with the utmost malevolence at her laughing enemy. Knowing she was unable to affect Aislin with her spells, Ownah took to more savage means and flew full-speed. The full-body tackle connected, and the two ladies tumulted to the ground in a spray of dust and show of splayed limbs. Aislin snarled at her assailant and prepared another small spell to punish her. That was when Aislin's eyes went full-open in terror. Ownah twirled the protective necklace around her finger, a callous and vindictive look on her face. Aislin tried to speak, saying, “I...I'm sorry, Ownah. Listen, we can work this out. I was just sent here by-” “No,” Ownah replied, “There will be no apologies.” And before her enemy could react, Ownah reached out her hand and froze Aislin in her place. She thrust out with her mind and connected with Aislin's. She felt her foe's fear and anxiety. She felt her thoughts echo in her own mind. No. Please don't kill me. Please. I'm begging you. I only did what I was supposed to do. Don't, please! Ownah only smiled and commanded her foe's lungs to stop breathing. Aislin's face remained the same, but her mind reeled in panic and terror as she continued to beg and plead for life. After a few minutes of intense agony and fright, Aislin's body finally gave out from lack of oxygen and the renowned pyromancer passed from the world. It was only then, standing in a crater filled with her own ogre's gore, that Ownah's stomach hit bottom as the sprite realized exactly what she had just done. She had killed a high-ranking official in the queen's court. She was screwed. Thus, it was then that Ownah packed up a few essential belongings, disposed of Aislin's corpse and hastily flew away into the late afternoon sun. She had flown all night, as long as she could, until she rested from sheer exhaustion. Now, it was the next day, and the sprite found herself sitting on the lip of a large pitcher plant, recounting the events of the previous day. She opened up her bundle and took a small slice of fruit from it and began to eat. They probably weren't after her yet, but eventually the court would send agents in pursuit. She supposed that first, she would need to find another group of potential allies to accompany her, to help keep her safe. She would need to 'befriend' these people and get them to trust her, enough to where they would defend her if the need arose. Maybe she would even attempt to replace the ogre that she had lost. But where would she find a group of people like that? |
Kay swallowed the chips, "Sorry' she said and then looked down at the little kitty in her lap. "Kiryn, why is everything so strange here? I mean... if you all can come and go through my world, why dont humans know more about you all and Underhill? It just seems so strange to me..." Kay's voice trailed off as she considered the idea that her world was just so insignificant compared to what else might be out there.
|
He frowned slightly. Underhill strange? He shook his head slightly. "It's not strange, it's just new to you. Anyplace you have never been to before will seem strange to you. It's like that with most..people and creatures.." Those wings twitched again. "Your world is a strange place...with it's dirty air and iron." His nose wrinkled in disgust for a moment.
|
"Hmm I never thought of it that way..." Kay sat back and munched her chips. "So why aren't humans allowed to come here?"
