How about you tell him you need to talk to him? That way he knows it's important and your not being a coward. Certain things need to be said in as close to face to face as you can get.

Vagueness is fine. The coward's way has it's pluses and minuses. It depends on the person as well. It may work in the short run, but will you regret it in the long run?

-Huggles Star.- I know what you mean...but...it's either that way or telling him the"cowardly" way. It's not really cowardly to want to, by the way. Just makes it easier. Here's the thing though. After you've written the offline message, you want them to reply so that you know what they have to say about it, and you get impatient.
