And I've been through about ten sites giving help on Personal Statements and none of them have been any help at all! It's all the same old crap "Don't talk too much about your childhood" "Don't start your statement with 'Ever since i was little'" "Don't put any jokes in your statement" "Don't try to use language you're not comfortable with" The same old crap that everyone's been told ten times over! I have absolutely no clue what I should and shouldn't include in my statement any more because so many sites have conflicting help bullet-points about what to put in, or they have advice from people who are just being total tards saying you should start your statement with crap like "I'm hot and naked... now I have your attention..." |

You have to write that paper about yourself for University? Talk about your life acceivements and what you plan to do in the future. A 5 year plan of where you would like to be. It's like going to the promotion board in the Army. We have to come up with similar things. We have to talk about our military careers, where we were born, siblings, children, spouses, and where we plan on being in 5 years and what we want to do in the army. And stuff like that.

But I don't have life achievements I don't have a 5 year plan I have no clue what I want to do with my life I'm only doing art because It's the one thing I thought I was good at, but after going on this art course I'm really quite shit in the whole scheme of things |
Do some bullet points of what you want to say and work it out from there at least then you've got a starting point.

You end up in the same situation whatever you decide to do, CVs are a nightmare.

A CV you can change and update a Personal Statement is different you can't touch it again once it's been sent off |
Life achievements don't have to be big things, like if you ever volunteered or if you go to church every week or giving blood or being in some kinda sport or in a club or after school activity or talk about your hobbies, or why you want to go there in the first place...
You just need to think what they would want to hear... if you were on the other side reading it, what would stand out to you? |

Well at least you've actually got something to put on it, went into 6th forum then onto collage.
Better than left school at 16 didn't bother going in shouldn't even have bothered going in for exams. |
