I don't have many accomplishments, but that was one of them thanks to a persuasive teacher and a mother who was trying to cheer me up.. My only regret was I didn't go to the award thing since it was in another state.. They mailed me a nice thing to hang on my wall though,

Cries... I forgot, and keep forgetting I wrote a children's book in six grade for a scool contest that was really good, my dad drew the pictures and I wrote the story.. It was a tale of Millicent's point of view on the whole sleeping beauty thing. And I never got it back.. I wonder if some where they still have it.. Some one else won, mine was to mature they said.. lol...

That sucks Anjiu, I hate it when I don't get work back. I'm still determined that my 7th grade art teacher stole a picture of flowers I painted.... I never got it back *is disgruntled* That's awesome that it was too mature, lol

wow, that sounds fun. I tried to write a kids book and failed. I can't be simple and I can't be um....not mature. I wrote about a cat being chased by a dog.

hehehe.. The school kept saying I as imature and stupid because of my heart problem and they were biased against homeschooling.. But I have always been more mature then most my age. Yet I like being silly and have fun too..
I am sorry you lost your art piece.. I so such at art.. That is why I am paying a friend to draw for me at A~Novel~Life it is still very new. And she is sick so we are behind in schedule.. Poor girl.. I hope maybe oneday my books will be turned into comics.. And if I self publish I will host an art contest forthe cover of my book and maybe some character images for the chapters.. |
Lol. Homeschoolers are always more mature than the rest of the regular schoolers. I was homeschooled until 5th grade and I know it helped me both intelligence wise and maturity wise. Though my best friend is still homeschooled and about to graduate high school and go to college, I do fear it will be a culture shock for her.
I think the reason it bugs me that I lost it was because it was one of my few good pieces. I'm half good at art at best and nowhere near as good as Kat or my roommate. That would be very exciting. I hope to get Kat or my roomie to do my cover for me one day. Maybe have them collaborate. |

I really need my teacher to give me back that one piece because its something I could put in my senior portfolio maybe. I want to draw comics. I keep trying but I need to take a class. oh, I'd love to do art for you and with your roomie! I fear she's better than me though |

I think it is awesome you already know who you would want.. I would ask my friend but I have several I adore. SoI thought to be most fare would be a contest.. Who knows it may not end up being a friend at all.. You on the other hand are blessed you know who you want already..
Yeah I have seen a lot of people be culture shocked.. I wasn't smothered by my parents so much that I was shocked.. I also was very outgoing.. I am not so much anymore.. I pray that your friend doen't have to much of a shock.. I have seen peopel fall off the deepened over the change it can bring. |

Yeah, well I'm lucky to have two friends I'm really close to that are amazing artists.
I worry about her a lot too. She's been sheltered, though she think she hasn't, but that's mostly because it's been a self sheltering. She's going to a Catholic Private College so hopefully it won't be too bad. But I worry still, she and I are so different, I'm all outgoing and outspoken and anything but religious and she's softer, very diligent about what might hurt people's feelings, very kind, and very religious. So hopefully nothing will happen but if it does I'll be there for her in a heartbeat. |

and wings is our amazing writer. in case I need help with my writing and or comics. wings is a good friend for her. ^^ I'm sure it won't be horrible and I believe that people are resilient. I really do hope she's alright because I liked her when we met. ^_^ |
