Hey Tav! We don't have Water Moccasins. We do have Northern Water Snakes, though. They're not poisonous. Nervous, so it's usually not a good idea to pick them up (though I have before without any problems, probably because it was chilly out and they were kinda sluggish that day), but they won't kill you.

lol I think our most poisonous is the eastern diamondback rattler but I'm not sure... but we have a ton of various snakes most poison. we have cottonmouths, diamondbacks, coral snacks, another type of rattler, water mocassins, copperheads, and i'm sure theris more. plus the viscious texas rat snake. and then we have a bunch of nonpoisonous smaller snakes, like garter snakes.

@Cica: Maybe. I dunno. It was too long ago for me to remember the specifics of how I was told, so I couldn't tell you whether he knew or not. It's good to know though. Now I have more ammunition to get my city-friends to go kayaking and such. They were afraid of the water moccasins.
