Cicadetta 04-06-2010 01:36 AM

Well it is not a Great Lakes thing. But we have pasties! That totally makes up for it! <.<

Linnea 04-06-2010 01:36 AM

Zephi 04-06-2010 01:36 AM

Cicadetta 04-06-2010 01:37 AM

Linnea, they are Cornish meat pies! With rutabaga! (They are not proper pasties without rutabaga.) Miners used to eat them in the UP.

Woodlandnymph 04-06-2010 01:37 AM

Pasties remind me of England!!!!!

Oh, so they really are British then! Right on ya!!! Pasties are great!

*Gets a starry eyed look and thinks of Great Britain* It's the Queen's birthday on the 21st  of April

Zephi 04-06-2010 01:37 AM

Cicadetta 04-06-2010 01:39 AM

Taviren 04-06-2010 01:39 AM

Yeah, we have rodeos in Michigan. And for the small towns, we have Cow Camp (which is basically a rodeo).

Kat Dakuu 04-06-2010 01:39 AM

I bet the rodeo is nothing like it is in texas in nc though.

Woodlandnymph 04-06-2010 01:40 AM

*Sigh* I need to experience this New England boiled dinner as an inhabitant of New England, lol..... I think only my St Pat's dinner can be called a boiled dinner....

Zephi 04-06-2010 01:40 AM

Ok nevermind it doesnt look anything like shepeards pie but it could sound like it if you didn't know... like oatmeal cream pies, nothing like whoopie pies, cept they try to look like them
