Linnea, they are Cornish meat pies! With rutabaga! (They are not proper pasties without rutabaga.) Miners used to eat them in the UP.

Yeah, we have rodeos in Michigan. And for the small towns, we have Cow Camp (which is basically a rodeo).

I bet the rodeo is nothing like it is in texas in nc though.
