I don't know, I'm still in a Native American rights mindset. Haven't thought much about gender issues lately. :)
Man, I hope we don't come to actual war over that. How stupidly ironic would that be? |
lol. My favorite book of all time is based off the idea of what would happen if it came to war about abortion. that is a scary book!!
I think a lot about the gay rights issue actually, for all that it doesn't concern me. I just feel it's wrong. I strongly believe "love is love" |
 What book is that? Now you have me curious.
As far as Kitteh is concerned it shouldn't be an issue because there is too much religious backing to the arguments. -nod- But Kitteh will say no more on it.
Unwind by Neal Shusterman. It is AMAZING!!
lol. well I could say all sorts of things about religion, but I won't. I'll leave it at i'm agnostic. but I believe in a god or a higher power. not very big on religion and worship |
No, it shouldn't be an issue, but people make issues out of non-issues all the time. (People are insane, and not always in good ways.)
But... yeah, anyway. |
lol. let me see if I can find a link for the summer of the first page of unwind
-nods- 'Tis a shame. I just wanna.... punch like all those people in the face. And tell them to shut their mouth, and go make a sandwich.
Hrm. *Goes to get sample of Unwind.*
Okay, I can read the first few pages when I get home, now. :) |
yay. I really highly recommend this book. No matter what side of the abortion argument are on. He isn't arguing one side or the other he's arguing the fact that there are sides and we fight over it so stupidly is the problem. I will warn you though if you end up reading it. That it is the most disturbing book I have ever read.
I've read some disturbing books in my time, but I'll take that under advisement. Thanks. :)
lol. I have too. I mean I love dystopia novels, I've read some disturbing stuff, but this was. just wow.
Dystopia books are great! :) Have you read Jennifer Government, yet?
Kitteh wants to read a book...
Never heard of it Cica.
Kitteh should read books! Books love Kitteh! :boogie:
Okay, first of all, language warning on it, Wings. Really, there are a lot of four-letter words. And there's violence, too, but as Americans, we are already desensitized to that, so... (Oh, and there are a couple adult situations, but they're off-screen.) Anyway, it's a satire. The United States has annexed like half the world, outlawed taxation, and it's corporate anarchy. The schools are sponsored and run by corporations like McDonalds and Mattel, the NRA is a major mercenary corporation... And you take the last name of your employer (i.e., if you work for Nike, then your last name is Nike.) It's... odd. |
KITTEH DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO READ~! :gonk:
That sounds really interesting Cica. Is it a movie?? and I don't really care about content. I'm an adult..well legally. I'm sure most people consider me a child still
Okay, just covering my bases, Wings. It's not a movie, though. Unfortunately. I really want it to be.
Cica teach Kitteh to read, yes? XDD
you can't write if you can't read!! kitteh lies!
lol. Cica. Yeah. If it's a book I'll most likely encounter it at some point in my studies. I want my doctoratal studies to be over dystopia novels. I thrive off of them. My two favorite books are dystopia novels. i'm sure my top ten has at least 4 dystopia novels in it.
:gonk: Stop being a jerkface, Kat.
The cats, they are fighting again...
That would be awesome, Wings! Yeah, dystopia novels. And post-apocalypse/disaster, for that matter. They tend to overlap, but not always. |
you started it kitteh!!!
