Crazy fandoms are scary, yes. And the extreme side of Twilight fandom seems particularly nuts.

My sister wanted to go, so I was dragged along with her. So many screaming preteens that I couldn't hear half of the actual movie it felt like. Every time someone came in, they would scream.

yeah. I mean yes I understand the fangirl mentality (major Kingdom hearts fangirl here) but serious some of the Twilight people are just scary

I do have to agree. I think the book is also reinforcing the notion that women are supposed to do what ever her partner or spouse tells them. Edward is so controlling and demanding while Bella is passive and does what ever Edward tells her to do.

Well, I suppose if some of the real crazies are trying to emulate Bella... well, trouble would ensue. Since Bella is an idiot/nutcase.
