*shrug* my dad's side of the family has musicians a long way down the line. it couldn't have skipped over me completely. both my brothers are musical.

my genius brain is not for eating!

*snort* I really don't think I have it. or I don't know how to use it? I choose to focus on art and writing. if I were unable to do those at any point, I would fall back on music though. but for now, two creative interests are enough for me!

I did that a lot as a kid. I'd turn the lamp off when my dad walked by then turn it back on a minute later and read till midnight. that was back in elementary/junior high. my parents gave up on giving me a bed time by 7th grade because I didn't listen.

I never really had one, cause I was the youngest of 4..so they gave up ;)

And, that's cute! I'd stay up real late and read too! Those were the days

I'm only second youngest. my parents tried for a while, but they gave up pretty quick.
funny how i read so much as a kid, but never read now. guess it gets in the way of me chasing dreams. (even though all writers need to read)

And that's awesome. My mom puts books aside when she is writing, cause she doesn't want to be influenced.

that's a good idea. sometimes influence is good, but sometimes it isn't what you want.

Yah, its good when you like a writing style, but bad cause sometimes you pick up on it accidentally..

I think it's the ideas in the stories that influence me most. If i read yaoi, I write yaoi. If I read about asshole characters, mine will become an asshole.

hahaha. Style influences me. If i am reading like an epic narritive, i get super epic

I notice I start using other people's similes, but they were always ideas I've had before or know, but have forgotten about.

Yikes... Holiday travel >.< It's kinda horrible.

If I wanted to be home for Xmas, it would have cost me like 300 dollars more than tickets are costing me 2 weeks into January. Still though. Wish I could have done that... lol

Yeah. Especially if you have to go thru Chicago. Worst Ariports ever. Even in good weather there is a delay XD

I am going mid jan cause my daughters birthday is around then, and then staying thru the superbowl. just waiting for my leave time to get approved ^^
