The airport in Ireland, Shannon was evacuated when I was sitting there, midlunch before a flight, because someone left a big package unattended. So they came in with the swat team, checked it out... All that rigamaroll to make sure it was not a bomb. But, that was only 2 years after Sept. 11th... So they were being really sensitive. But, thats an interesting story at least, no? Lots of sirens and flashy lights ;)

Yes. O'hare. Worst ever! 3 hour delay turned to 4 hours. I was about to get a rental and drive the rest of the way XD

Ah! Oy! That's kinda insane. My friends were in London studying when that happened. I was all concernicus, and called them up to see what was what. But I don't think anything happened too close to where they were...But the city was shut down, and not much happened for a while for them. Classes postponed and what not.

Yes. Security was definitely heightened after that. I don't know how it is now. I haven't gone thru the airport since then I think. It's been a while. :sweat:
