Awww, how sweet of him :D :D I love gestures like that. And, since I am a super sappy blah blah romantic things like flowers, and just leaving a note or other little thoughtful things do me in. Even for friends and stuff when you know someone is down.

I meditated when my insomnia was really bad...But, I couldn't do it before trying to go to sleep cause it popped me full of energy sadly.

Zephi 01-03-2012 09:22 PM

It's kind of hard sometimes. To completely clear your mind of all thoughts. I used to imagine walking into a dark room and the door slowly closing behind me, blocking out the light and the thoughts. Just focusing on breathing in and out. No thoughts...

Wow, meditation made you more hyper? :O

Yeah, he is always sweet. He said that no matter what, he'll always be here for me. And that I don't need to push him away. He says that he married me because he wanted to be with me for the rest of our lives and that he already knew that I was like this before we were married. So... I love him to death. He's amazing. Thinking of him and our kids makes me happier ^^

I tried meditation to help me sleep. worked for me. I don't sleep though because my mind is too cluttered and ADD. it's too hard for me to do though. I've never had a time when there aren't millions of thoughts in my mind.

Jeannesha 01-03-2012 09:23 PM

I read someplace that you should stare at the darkness behind your eyes...

Zephi 01-03-2012 09:25 PM

Stare at the darkenss behind your eyes? Well, I think that it takes time. I mean, that sounds a lot like what I pictured :P At first I couldn't really do it, but then it'd be easier and I could do it whenever, even in a loud, well lit place.

Kat Dakuu 01-03-2012 09:29 PM

but it's not dark behind my eyes. I always see colors and light and things. >.>

Woodlandnymph 01-03-2012 09:30 PM

Yah, meditation makes me full of energy afterwards. Odd right?

And thats so sweet :3

Zephi 01-03-2012 09:32 PM

I see lights, like rolling lights and shapes sometimes, and then I try to make up what the shapes look like. That can be distracting.

Jeannesha 01-03-2012 09:34 PM

Yup. It would be distracting to me too...
Your brain is trying to make sense out of what it's seeing...

Zephi 01-03-2012 09:34 PM

I see transformers a lot.

Jeannesha 01-03-2012 09:36 PM

lol... it's like a Rorsarch ink blot test...

Kat Dakuu 01-03-2012 09:36 PM

I see weird things in the ink blot tests....

but really, I see red glitter at night weather my eyes are opened or closed.

Zephi 01-03-2012 09:37 PM

Yes. Similar to. But I wonder if there are any blots that look like transformers...

Woodlandnymph 01-03-2012 09:41 PM

Robots in disguise?!?!?! In your meditation?! Lucky girl.

I can usually visualize things very well when meditating. Not anything like 'a calm sun filled meadow'.... I usually think about a place I've been that I love, like on the Cliffs of Moher, with the sea boiling beneath me, and no one there. Then I focus on the sounds and smells that the memory evoked.

Zephi 01-03-2012 09:43 PM

Oooh, there is this game on DS called "ninja reflex" and if you want there is a meditation mode where the guy talks you through a meditation phase in the most soothing voice with a waterfall in the far distance. it's sooooo relaxing. It makes me want to fall asleep. I feel at peace. I should take that game to work. hahhaha. Mmm... cliffs sound like a fun place to be.

Jeannesha 01-03-2012 09:43 PM

I have trouble recalling smells....

I can SEE things in my mind's eye, but I can't SMELL things (in my mind's nose?).

Zephi 01-03-2012 09:45 PM

Smell is supposed to be your strongest memory part. Supposed to evoke the strongest memories. So they say.. whoever they is.

Jeannesha 01-03-2012 09:47 PM

Yes, but the way that works is that memories are triggered by certain smells.
You smell something and then you remember something.

Trying to THINK of a smell and actually smell it in your mind is what I can't do.

Zephi 01-03-2012 09:48 PM

Can people do that?

Kat Dakuu 01-03-2012 09:48 PM

my creative writing teacher said the same thing, zephi. but I don't remember smells. I remember it smelled of paint, but I can't remember what paint smells like. yeah...

Jeannesha 01-03-2012 09:50 PM

It's a mystery...

I just know that *I* can't do it...
Sounds like you guys can't either... I wonder if anybody can do it?

Zephi 01-03-2012 09:50 PM

Hmm. I don't think i can conjure a smell and make my nose think that it's smelling it. Seems like sensory trickery of the 5th degree.

Woodlandnymph 01-03-2012 09:56 PM

Oh I can do that. I can smell and hear things. I can have VERY interesting day dreams, since that's the case. My imagination just runs wild

Zephi 01-03-2012 09:57 PM

Thats cool woody. You're lucky! Have you always been able to do that?

Jeannesha 01-03-2012 09:58 PM

The nose is directly connected with the brain...
