The other one is a receptionist position but it's casual part-time, so only like one or two days a week, tops. I don't even know if going out there for as few as 5 hours a week is even worth it, y'know? >_< But as you said, job-hunting is extra tough these days, so I should be grateful I'm even getting to the interview stage! (And I heard unemployment has actually gone down a few percentages since 2008. Maybe the economy is finally starting to turn around!) |
a job is a job and better than no job at all even if it's lame.
|
oh you have pink tips! nice, kat! they look shiny
hey, lostin :) |
Kat: Yep, very true. I just need more hours so I can get a car so I don't have to keep using my dad's car. :P
Hey, Linnie! <3 |
they are very shiny. metallic blue with pink tips.

This 80-year-old guy once told me: "Money is for spendin, Virginia. If you wanna save something, save rocks, not money."
|
I save rocks! but I'm better a saving money.
|
I'd be better at saving rocks, no doubt.
EDIT: ooh, just noticed the pretty nails!! mesuh like! *_* |
rocks are so pretty, but I lose them. O.O
thanks! :D |
I want one of those geodes... they're gorgeous
|
I have a very tiny one. I want to actually go out and collect rocks rather than buying them at gift shops whenever I go to caves.
|
Most caves don't allow you to collect anything..
It's a good way to get arrested. When you are a tourist, all the rock shops have the save stuff. Most of it came from Brazil. I know cuz I used to sell that stuff, and I know where the wholesalers get them from. I did buy a bag of geodes from a local Texas shop. They got them here. I've cracked a few open and they're amethyst. |
I didn't say I was gonna collect inside a cave. caves only have calcite anyways and I've already got some of that.
|
We went through a lot of caves in Kentucky and Arkansas...
They're worried about the poor bats. |
have you been to Mammoth Cave? I've been there twice.
|
Yup.
We went to Mammoth Cave last summer. I was pretty impressed actually. Somewhere I had read that it was a dead cave, but it didn't seem dead to me. There were still formations growing in places. |
I'm so bored. -___- I wish I had a boytoy to snuggle with. |
there's only one cavern with formations actually, jean. I remember the cave guide telling us. I think I'm only impressed by parts of it. mostly the fat man's pain and tall man's misery part. I like my cave formations lots.
fifteen hours is a long car trip for one day. blarg. |
i haven't chatted much all day and i feel like it! talk to meh, kat!
|

|
suck it up, woman! lol
|
fifteen hours! and a time change!!!!
|
oh you must have left home to go back to school... well ok then i think you have every right to be a little pooped out :P
|
yeah. I wasn't driving, but I did get up at 8:30 and I didn't sleep last night.
|
driving always makes a person much sleepier, or so it seems to me... did you nap on the ride?
