Such a rush you mean? Well, at least it's over quickly. Then there's another break and back to work again.
rush? it's just stressful and loaded with more work than the rest of the semester. I need to do a load of laundry tonight so I can pack to go home tomorrow.
You'll be glad to be home, right?
How long a break do you have? |
I suppose so. I want the break from school more than to be home.
I fly back monday in time to get to my afternoon class i think. |
So it's not a really long break.
Oh well...at least it's some time away. |
why would it be? no one ever gets more than a few days for thanksgiving...
Well... some people take longer times but I suppose that's mostly for people who aren't in school. They can take off or leave from work for a long time.
yeah, in school though, sometimes people don't even get off until thursday. it just seems like people get longer because college students leave early and skip class.
Happy Turkey Day all!!! *runs off*
to you too, woody!
Gobble gobble...
I even ate some turkey. my cousin in law deep fried it.
We had our herb chicken instead of turkey, but the stuffing was GREAT!
Man. I am STILL stuffed... |
Happy belated Thanksgiving XD
We went over to a friends house and they deep fried the turkey and baked a ham, had stuffing and bean casserole and corn casserole and mac-n-cheese and mashed potatoes, yams, gravy, rolls, biscuits, tons of appetizers. I basically ate all day. Now I'm hungry this morning XD |
I didn't eat that much for yesterday. and I went for a walk after eating pie, and these crazy kids were obsessed with me and made me play with them for half the day. I'm hungry today.
Aren't you in Germany, Zeph?
They celebrated turkey day there? All I ate yesterday was hubby's herb chicken and lots of stuffing and gravy. No desserts. But I did drink a glass of wine. |
The Americans here darn sure celebrate it XD But in Germans, no, they don't.
I had some cookies that my hubby made, that's all. Didn't even have any of the pies that I made. Kat, what are you complaining about? :P That kids wanted to play with you? [rofl] Aren't you popular. XD |
Secretly, Kat loves playing with the little kids...
I've never been the only one in the room playing with the kids before. that was also the first day I picked a kid up. Chloe wanted to point at something something on top of the shelf. She made me because I didn't understand what vague pointing at the shelf and saying "THAT!" meant. But it's really tiring. they never quit wanting to play with me the entire day. and I don't speak two year old.
Yep, secretly, you do love them and they love you. I used to not like kids but they would gravitate towards me and it was awkward. Like... I thought I'd have to change diapers or something, I did enough fo that with my younger sister. But I don't know. Maybe you're secretly a child whisperer. [yes]
apparently if you just make eye contact with chole, she will be your friend. even a stranger in the grocery store, she will greet them and be friendly if they just make eye contact. she's insanely outgoing.
Little kids are exhausting.
I don't even have to be playing with them to get tired out. |
they are very tiring.
Just listening to them talk is enough to tire me out.
lol... |
my jobs has involved kids pretty much constantly since 2005... no wonder i have so many gray hairs lol
