it's not true. you have moments of lucidity and you're aware you don't remember things, but you can't remember what you can't remember. you're aware you're a burden. in the early stages, it's more about mixing up the timelines having no concept of when one event happened and there are holes in the memory, but some things will be clearer than ever.
