@zephi: maybe that's what i need to do; start from episode one... they used to play it on toonami, when there still was a toonami, but i hear that they butchered it because it wasn't meant for younger audiences... anyhoo... i get that FMP = full metal panic... but which one is fumoffu? i haven't seen any of those, though i have seen, and own all of, fullmetal alchemist :D

I loved FMA.. that was a great anime. No matter what was happeneing they would throw something funny in, just the looks. lol. It was great Fumoffu followed the original FMP.. it's just a bunch of shorts and individual episodes. Mostly funny stuff like when they go to the beach. Or the commander goes to school to try to win sasuke from chidori... or chidori always beating the crap out of sasuke... it's just too funny.

Going to watch one piece now! I'll be back!

I love FMA! I watched almost all of it before my friend took her dvd's back. I saw the movie though.

FMA always confused the crap out of me... Not gonna lie. :roll:
For me, anime was always the sort of thing that I needed to watch from Episode 1 or else I was lost... :insane:

Then again, that's probably half the reason why I no longer watch anime. xD Besides the fact that the storylines seem to get rather... boring. There are so many similar animes out there nowadays. ._.;

FMA was the first anime series i ever saw... i was addicted after the first episodes... i adore that show.... i was sad about the movie though... i'm a roy mustang fan and i wished he was in it more... the manga is really good too by the way!

@facade: i think to get the full gist of the FMA story you need to see it from the beginning for sure... but it is so great and a lot of the stories are really neat and creative... but like any anime, there are some lame filler ideas, but that didn't happen very often...

I hear the manga for FMA was very different from the anime, but I never got past book 3.

the manga is quite different... but it is still really good... i think that is the only instance where i liked both anime and manga for what they are, as different as they are... i usually hate the book to series/movie adaptations... but the manga is soooo much deeper and has more characters for sure... it is still being written so it's driving me crazy having to wait for the volumes to get translated in english... i kind of don't want to read it online...

yes it is *sigh* i love it, and i own all the mangas so far (twenty) but it looks like it isn't even close to being done yet... i like stories that have an ending and as much as i want to know it, i don't want the series to end either

i read lots of manga online... all the popular ones get a new chapter posted every one or two weeks, some are once a month... others are so random you might have to wait half a year before the next chapter... it's a terrible tease!
i've read some where the mangaka dies and therefore no ending, or it wasn't popular enough and got the kibosh... i've also read some where you just have to wait forever for the next chapter...

i guess i just feel like sometimes the stories get too long and drawn out too... but really, it's because i HATE waiting... i have no patience!
