I keep getting calls from a telemarketer who tells me it their job to walk me through the information even AFTER I tell I'm not interested.

If they call again I'm going to just hit numbers...

Yeah, well we're a fundraiser so we're exempt from that list. Blah blah blah. I hate my job, I really do.

We are required to get two no's, before we're allowed to hang-up.

really two no's?? no wonder they keep talking and talking! next i'll be like " no no!" think that'll work!! :XD

Well, a chairty is different. I would actually listen to them. I don't even know how these one telemarkters got my number. I looked it up online and alot of people got them calling them after putting up a job application. D: These people who call me are just harassers and aren't operating within the law.

Most phone numbers and address are public information, since there is the phone book, and everything else.

I really hate my job because I'm supposed to get donations, or pledges, or whatever, and I need to get so many a night, or they'll fire me. And it's like... if I get a bunch of people that don't want to give, there is nothing I can do. They try and say it isn't luck, but it generally is 90% luck, 10% skill. They don't care... I really want to quit.

My number is on the do not call list. D: But I still get calls.

The do not call list is a sham, ya'll. Seriously, one, not everyone gets that list, two, fundraisers are generally exempt, etc etc. Best bet? Don't have a house phone, just a cellphone. That's what we do, and it used to be (may have changed recently) that it was illegal to call cellphones.

I've never gotten a call on my cellphone.

I don't know how it is most places, but if someone says the phrase "Put me on your do not call list", we say alright, hang up, mark it do not call, and that is the end of it, no pitching or pushing, and they never get called back from us, not even the next year.

I have this worry that my voice is just super annoying. Or I sound like a 12 year old.

Usually that works for most of them. But not this new one that's been calling me. If they call me again I'm telling them that if they do not stop calling me I will seek legal action against them. D:

My voice makes me sound like an eight year old boy. Or at least that's what I'm told on Xbox live. D:

After awhile, nothing freaks you out. I promise. Out of our whole office, I think I have gotten some of the weirdest, or rudest people out there. You have to be able to laugh about it, or the job would be even worse...

Ehh. I don't know about my voice, I have a feeling it is annoying. And worse now that my nose is stuffy, so I sound awful.

We call up to 9pm, and it's super annoying. Because people are so pissed...

D: I hope you can find a better job soon, Kitteh. That just sounds awful.

I'm pretty much just waitin' for them to fire me.
