Kirin Rosenbaum 02-20-2013 01:38 AM

That would be cool. I might be changing my avatar soon.

Jeannesha 02-20-2013 03:06 AM

I only ever did a monster avie once.
I should try again.

dessertdesiert 02-20-2013 03:09 AM

I never really do any good avies xD

Jeannesha 02-20-2013 03:10 AM

I'm liking your pirate, DD!

The Kit-Kat Project 02-20-2013 04:59 AM

a rainbow dash avi would be awesome, llonka!

DD reminds me of the pirates from kids next door that steal candy!

Jeannesha 02-20-2013 05:57 AM

You have pirates next door?

What?

The Kit-Kat Project 02-20-2013 06:08 AM

Kids Next Door is a cartoon.

Jeannesha 02-20-2013 06:10 AM

lol...

The last cartoon I saw was that weird spongy guy with pants.
My grandson liked it a lot.

The Kit-Kat Project 02-20-2013 06:15 AM

spongebob?! I never watched it really. my parents wouldn't let us watch it...probably because it looked a little too stupid. my cousin's kids watch that though.

Jeannesha 02-20-2013 06:16 AM

I don't know what it is about it that kids like so much.

He's the one that was also crazy about Elmo.

The Kit-Kat Project 02-20-2013 06:20 AM

some of it is funny and witty and it's energetic. a couple good episodes out there, but most of it is mind rotting junk.

I never cared for seasame street...I think. I have zero memory of ever watching it and remember not knowing the characters names really, but it seems my older brother would just watch it all day. of course, you could put him down and he'd never move for hours and maybe he looked happy, but was he really enjoying the show or did he just not move away from it?

Jeannesha 02-20-2013 06:21 AM

Kids are just mesmerized by the TV.
It seems that most ANY show catches their attention.

The Kit-Kat Project 02-20-2013 06:22 AM

i didn't do that as a kid though. I got up and found something to knock over or climb or draw on.

Jeannesha 02-20-2013 06:23 AM

Well, TV was just coming out when I was little.

I think we got our first TV set when I was about 5 or 6.
We would sit and stare at the test pattern for hours.

They didn't broadcast all day, and there were only a couple of channels.

The Kit-Kat Project 02-20-2013 06:24 AM

yeah...I don't know about that. I wouldn't watch test patterns.
My dad tells me about waiting to watch the star trek and doctor who episodes.

Jeannesha 02-20-2013 06:26 AM

That was in the 60's...but we never watched Dr. Who.

I've just started watching them, and I really like it!

The Kit-Kat Project 02-20-2013 06:29 AM

my dad was a sci-fi nerd from the start. he even read encycolpedias for fun. what a nerd!!

I haven't really started watching them yet. I've just seen stuff on tv and listened to wingsy go on and on about it.

Jeannesha 02-20-2013 06:30 AM

Well, I started in the middle of season from 2006.
It has David Tenent as Dr. Who. Most people agree that he was the best.

He's pretty good!

The Kit-Kat Project 02-20-2013 06:31 AM

I've only seen him as doctor I think! I love him.

Jeannesha 02-20-2013 06:31 AM

Well, I need to get to bed.

See you tomorrow!

The Kit-Kat Project 02-20-2013 06:32 AM

aw, good night jean!

Jeannesha 02-20-2013 06:33 AM

Sorry to leave you in the lurch...
Hopefully you can find somebody else to chat with

(Or finish reading that book!)

The Kit-Kat Project 02-20-2013 06:35 AM

oh hell no, I ain't finish reading that! I might read a few more pages tomorrow, but that's it.

llonka 02-20-2013 01:13 PM
