She giggled and shook her head saying nothing. "And I'm glad you are glad Edwin," she smiled softly at him. She looked around and made sure no one was looking and swiftly and quickly kissed his cheek, "and I promise to keep you happy too" she said nodding. "You really are a sweet heart Edwin and it's going to be great to be married to you!" she giggled.
|
Edwin blushed when she kissed his cheek- he had definitely not been expecting that. Looking around, it seemed like no one had seen it happen either. Not that it mattered, since he was sure the siblings wouldn't say anything, and he was sure it wouldn't bother them any. Edwin glanced down at his lap, too flustered to say anything at first, "I-I am glad you are going to be happy with me, and I appreciate your promise, but I know I will be happy just having you as my wife." he told her, looking up into her eyes with his own sparkling green orbs.

Selina's face was burning, she softly smiled up at him. She looked into his eyes, her own brown eyes shining, "thank you Edwin.." she whispered. She heard some one clear their throat, she looked up and saw it was her father, Selina blushed again as she realized she was still holding his hands. "Ohh.." she whispered, Adam spoke lightly his voice amused "if you are done talking to you groom Selina..I think we should head home...after all tomorrow is your big day and you need all the rest you can get." Adam said sincerely nodding. Selina looked at her father and blushed, she whispered a quiet "yes".

Edwin, along with the other gentlemen in the room, stood to say their goodbyes, "Yes, you should head home." he looked at her, "Tomorrow is a big day... Our big day." he smiled, then looked at everyone else. Giving a small bow he said, "It was lovely meeting you all. It is a pleasure to be joining our families." he said, as could be expected of the bridegroom.
|
"Yes..our big day" Selina repeated smiling. She nodded to every one in the room saying a polite little good bye,"And we are as glad that you have accepted us into your family" Selina said bowing her head. "I am anxiously looking forward for tomorrow Edwin" Selina said one last time as her mother called for her saying that the coach was here. Selina hurried her sisters into the coach and then she climbed in after them waving to the family. Selina yawned widely, her eyes were drooping as they headed closer to home.

Once their company had left, Edwin's parents retired for the night- his father having papers to go over and his mother wanting to do some sort of reading in their bedroom. Robert, too, took the opportunity to retire as well, and the girls went and changed, leaving Craig and Edwin alone once more. After a conversation between the two hidden in glances and facial expressions, the two walked up the stairs, speaking in words of what Edwin could expect at the wedding the following evening. Once they reached their rooms, they bid each other a good night and left each other to themselves. For Edwin, that didn't last long, seeing as after the girls had changed into more appropriate sleepwear, they knocked and entered Edwin's room, desperate to know about the wedding, and then to hear a story. After the telling of Alice in Wonderland, by Lewis Caroll, which was Edwin's favorite, and many times of bidding them goodnight to get rid of them, they finally went off to their own room, that they shared, and Edwin was left to change and sleep.
