That's so cute! <3 I have bunk-beds when younger as well -- I had the top bunk 'cause it was next to the window and my brother wanted the bottom bunk :3 We had a guardrail on my bunk-bed though xD; I wouldn't sleep without it 'cause I'm petrified of heights ^_^; My college bed can't have them though -- so I'm kinda screwed XD; I was just lucky it wasn't -very- high and I had the computer chair and stool there to catch myself :3 |
We had a guardrail too, but it wasn't big. I still learned to sleep near the wall. In fact when I had my futon, the wall side is where I always slept.

Haha I'm kinda the opposite -- I sleep on the edge/middle, but face the wall xD;
-has to sleep on my right side- So no matter where my bed is placed, I'm either facing the edge when I sleep or my back is to it :3 Which is probably why I almost fell out of my college bed xD; -it's a lot smaller than my normal bed- So what've you been up to today? |
Did my errands this morning and got that all out of the way. Took the dog for a 2 mile walk, that was actually really nice. Was warm, but there was a nice breeze going so that helped to cool me down. Duke was more interested in sniffing and looking for lizards and squirrels. Guess that's the cattle dog in him.
Then I chilled at my parent's house watching their cable cause it's better then our's here at the house. Heh. My cat is being semi-social right now. He's come out of my sister's room to just sit in the entry way of the living room. Filled out a college form for admission, we'll see if I get in. Been 6 years since I was last there. Hopefully they don't make me write an essay on why I want to come back and if I plan on sticking around this time. Had a rocky patch the last time I was there. Youth sucks when you need to buckle down and do homework. Times and my life have changed so it's time for me to get my head on straight and get a degree in nursing. Pay is good and I like money, the more the better. What you been doing today? |

I hope you get into the college though :) <3 I've been pretty busy actually haha Had a little bit of time to chat and roleplay after my shower today but that's really all the time I've been on Mene today~ This afternoon Mom and I tested some new products, but we started a bit late and got frustrated and annoyed with each other so we called it a day -- but what we did finish we ended up doing quite well, we just need to tweak it and find an easier way to do it and we have to tweak the recipes a bit :3 But otherwise it was a productive afternoon :3 Tonight I worked on the Master Catalog -- got a base design down for Mom to approve before I continue -- I finished up the old brochures and am now finishing the last new one :3 After that, I have to write a small insert for the Buyer's Club we have as a flyer of sorts -- then I have to make a 3 column brochure simply about the company itself :3 Then I'll finally be done with brochures!! XD Then, if I'm not too tired by the time all that is completed, I have to start working on the Fundraising information and such and get that updated because we already have a few members to the Buyer's Club and they'll need the information asap :3 So I've got a longggg night ahead of me XD; I apologize if my replies get a bit delayed! It could take me a half hour to see you responded in the threads ^_^; Just a forewarning :) <3 Oh -- and to pass the time -- I'm watching another Star Wars episode of Family Guy -- Episode VI Return of the Jedi hahaha I love the opening to this one XD TOO HILARIOUS! <3 |
Don't worry about the delay in posting, the husband and I might disappear for a little bit. He and I haven't been ahhh...intimate for a few weeks because of the surgery and the subsequent healing, plus being sore. Damn stomach muscles are still getting back to normal.
Good luck with the brochures, catalog, the buyers club and all that jazz. Good lord it sounds like you'll be needing some Visine and a red bull by the end of the evening. I take it you don't really sleep that much? Me, I love the hell out of sleep, then again we bought a tempurpedic mattress and it's like sleeping on a cloud. :drool: |

That does sound crappy. Lack of sleep is a real hardship on the body and mind.

My best creativity comes at the last minute and very late at night. Very strange. Possible that it's a combination of fatigue and true genius. |

Congratulations!! <3 I've been gooood~ Dealing with some medical, but I'm getting it straightened away haha Other than that, I finished my first year of college about a month ago and a couple weeks ago I partnered with my Mom on her business and we're taking it to new levels and completely revamping it :3 Sooo I've been busy the past month or so, but it's been a good busy :3 Haven't had much time for Mene until after college got out though :( </3 So I've been trying to post, sell, and play games in order to get gold for my new quest :3 I was donated the Mask of Atlantis not all that long ago, and was donated a bunch of stuff by my brother that I've started selling off (keeping only a few things for my own personal collection), which was definitely nice <3 I actually have some money now xD; Though because I haven't had any for so long, I keep buying stuff XD; -bought some commons, the Millennium Scythe, and Chickie on my Head- But, they were all items I've been really wanting so that's okay <3 Those auctions though? THEY'RE BRUTAL!!! They're honestly never ending -- which is kind of annoying XD; You would think they'd have a limit as to how many times it can start over the 120 second count or whatever it is haha The auction I won had like, 4 bids on it, and it was already up to 5k o.O; It as crazy lol I was like "Seriously?! WHY DO PEOPLE JUMP PRICES LIKE THAT!??" Have you participated in any? |

That's really exciting about your mom's business. It's hard to run small businesses right now so I wish you guys luck and hope it goes well for you. x3 Yeah, I know how it goes. I barely had time for Mene this last year. It's probably been my toughest year yet and I actually had my worst term ever last term. I ended with two Cs and I haven't gotten a C since my freshmen year of high school. It was silly how hard I took it. I'm okay, now, though, because my GPA is still pretty good and this term will help a bit. I didn't get into the pharmacy schools I applied to either, but I'm okay with that. It'll be nice to have this year to do some volunteering and such stuff. I'll probably be working too. Sweet deal on the awesome donations. My charity has been getting some really neat stuff lately, too. It's awesome. <3 I haven't actually used the MP at all - mostly out of sheer laziness and lack of attention span. I know they set up the bidding differently so people can't snipe. I could imagine it'd be crazy. They jumped it because they had the gold to and REALLY wanted that item, I'd guess. xD |

It's been around for over 10 years, it just went on a small hiatus for a couple of years :3 SO! I'm bringing it back full force, revamping the website and the products, and and breathing some life back into this company :3 You could always go to a cheap-ish college and take a year of courses to get your grades up :3 I had friends who did that and they got into their first choice schools after doing so :) It's always an option to consider just to get a better GPA to send to them ^_^ Awesomee! :D <3 I guess this is the time of year for people to either get generous or leave the site hahaha! It's been crazy how much has been donated/bought over the past couple of weeks :3 Yeah they do -- but every time someone bids under the 60 second mark the timer stars all over gain for 2-3 minutes -- it's legit a never ending process -- I usually just say the heck with it and give up after the 3rd or 4th time it does it :/ The only items I do auctions for are the ones that are -only- given out by the Auctioneer as auction items haha Otherwise, I use the market to sell things because -no one- visits my exchange -- and it's how I'm starting to buy things for that same reason lol I still hate the marketplace with everything I have, but if you can't fight to get it removed, you might as well try to take advantage of it's few positive sides :3 I have no idea XD; I don't think so, but that's possible -- whoever it was lost the auction though 'cause I big above them and they didn't bid back xD; So it's possible the other bidders were offline :3 But I'm not entirely convinced because the auction I was in before that - they were jumping the price by 500g-1k every couple of bids lol It legit went from around 2k to over 4-5k in a matter of seconds o.O; Sooo - it was either to drive the price up, like the other auction seemed to be doing -- or it was genuinely a last attempt before they logged off or something :3 Debatable, but not a big deal haha I just wish people had them for sale so I didn't have to deal with the auctions xD; -doesn't have the patience to keep going through the 2-3 minute time frame over and over and over again- |

I do go to a cheap-ish college hahaha. I could retake the classes this next year since I'll just be working/volunteering but the thought of doing all that work over again is just depressing. I cried SO much last term just due to stress and I know that the two classes I'd have to retake were the main cause of it. I hated them and I'd really not have to take them. A 3.55 GPA really isn't bad and it's the average of what the schools let in, so I'm just going to try it that way. If it doesn't work out, I may retake them. It just depends. I think people just keeping leaving. Or at least I think one of them left. The other just seemed to have a lot of extra stuff laying around. x3 Yeah, I haven't even been paying attention to what the Auctioneer has been giving out. I think it's just because I come to this site more to talk to people than anything so I don't pay much attention to the items. I haven't changed my avi since around Valentine's Day. xD Oh, yeah, maybe they were just trying to jack the price. I kind of miss the exchange threads, now. xD I have a bunch of spare EIs sitting in the charity account and I thought about selling them. But I that meant looking up the individual prices of each item, etc... ick. :( It's just too time-consuming. xD I hate auctions, too. xD I am more of a "buy it now" person. |

I'm hoping, now that the quest raffle restrictions have been lifted, there will be more V-day items, St. Patty items, and 2007 MCs in the market for sale :3 It'd be really nice to have those into circulation again <3 -needs all three- XD; I just finished my Easter 07 set, so that was nice :3 Now I'd like to work on the St. Patty's 07 and V-day 07 items :3 While I quest those I'll probably snag a few MCs here and there, though, since they'll be very hard to find lol LOLOL I come to chat, but I like the items as well and so I've started collecting every MC/EI that's been made -- then I'm going to go for the commons :3 It's more of a goal to work towards, ya know? What can I say? I like shinies XD; Same -- the exchange threads are all but obsolete any more :/ A lot of chatter would go on in them -- and now they're just kinda dead -- which is really sad :( LOL I know right? And all of the old pricing is deleted from the exchange forum, and the threads haven't even been updated with new items, so it really sucks that this Market Place happened in my opinion :/ And it really is more time consuming than the exchange thread because this way, you have to look up each individual item itself versus going to the 2008 EI list and going to St. Patrick's Day :/ It's a real pain in the buttocks to be honest :( Lol Sameeee :3 I prefer the old haggle and deal way of doing things -- not auction until you run out of gold way :( |

I think it will. I have a lot of people offering me help when I reapply. I think I'll get in next year. It's true! There's been a lot of stuff that's been rotting in accounts. I think they did decided to releave the Quest Raffle rules. :yes: I remember reading a thread about it at one point... :3 The '07 items are so hard to come by. I was giving away some of the less-rare '07 stuff. xD I actually think I just got back my FOWN '07 set and will be giving that away at some point. I use to be that way - on Gaia - I think I just found it more difficult here to get gold and items so I never really got the drive to go after items. xD It's okay, though, 'cause I collect stuff and give them away. I like doing that. Yes!! I was so sad when they deleted the prices - though I could understand why because they're probably changing a lot now. But it was sooo much easier to just go to the thread and read through everything. Well, not easier, but less time consuming. Sometimes I can't even find items I search for in the MP. xD I am guessing it's because none have been sold - but I don't just like arbitrarily posting a price to something. I feel like it'd just be offensive to set it all high or something. I don't mind the MP, though, I know a lot of people will find it useful. I'm just a lazy bum. x3 |

Like, you search Welcome and you only come up with half the items -- even if you put the exact name in, or part of it, half the time it won't even search because Mene didn't put them as search terms :roll: They don't exactly have it tweaked yet XD; And I know what you mean -- they should have transferred the old prices to the Marketplace as starting base prices, so to speak -- then people would at least have a clue instead of totally pulling it from their head and being like "Well, this sounds about right." or "I want a lot, so I'll put it for this much!", ya know? I can't stand it - it's completely decreased the value of items that were just fine before the market because peple keep selling for lower than the lowest price to try and get their item bought first :/ I mean, the slipper set is like, 10-12k each!! It's ridiculous in my opinion :( And while those items are becoming worthless, new items are going to 5k and up immediately :/ I much prefer the exchange :3 |

Probably the only CIs I've purchased/quested for. I love those items. :drool: Really? I thought the crowns were worth wayyy more. Crazy! That makes sense. I think I tried to search for the "candy and flowers" thing and it turned up nothing. Well, since I don't use the MP I can't really hold a good opinion. xD |
