My phone camera is horrible...but I have an LG Wave. No smart phone...can't afford one...or even the plan for one. :/ But I have a 12mp casio point and shoot....and then a Nikon D90. XD |

You don't know what the mega pixel is? That's basically the main think I look at when looking at a digital camera anymore. But I don't need one now since the two I have work and do a wonderful job. :D

Anywaysss~ That's good that your Mom supports you and you have other people in your life who support you :3 I know what it's like to not be supported and it sucks haha Definitely good that you did it anyway though :) Is photography something that you actually wanted to do? How in the world would a STRANGER know my age anyways? Like seriously? Would totally put him in his place. -so can't wait to get my own storefront and be out of this house more than I'm in it- XD; Aww - I wish I had an iPhone :( I refuse to pay around $200 a month for a plan, though xD; (which is what I would need) I just can't wait for the new upgrade phone for Straight Talk to come out - the one I have is a PoS and needs to be burned at the stake >.> When the first version of it broke I should have just bought the other upgrade that's out right now (the one that's as good as mine but a different maker) instead of getting this one again LOL Total waste~ I do know what you mean though - my camera phone is just as good as a camera :3 I love it <3 IT EVEN HAS FLASH!! Found that out when I was taking a picture of a work of art in the gallery at college - yeahhhh - the director was NOT happy about that XD; I didn't even notice it until she said something XD; |
I kinda wanted to do the photography. I like doing it so I figured I might as well as do it. Plus that and the drawing go hand in hand together. Although now they are pissed because I am having to spend so much time in college that what they believe I should be. But I only have six to seven classes left to take after the fall semester. But I am kicked back a semester from graduating because the photography teacher is going on sabbatical in the spring. :/

And seriously - no offense, but your family seems a bit pushy, controlling, and honestly ridiculous when it comes to YOUR education and YOUR future o.O; I'd hate to see what they have to say about me taking 5 years to do a BA degree in Finance because my first college was misleading and their programs were just economics with false titles, and I was only able to transfer after the spring semester was finished, kind of wasting a year of college. O.o; Not to mention that while I'm getting my Masters in Finance, Marketing Management, and Accounting, I'll also be doing a BA in Fine Arts - the drawing aspect, adding more college under my belt. o.O; And I wonder what they'd say about my cousin who has been in college for about 12 years now o.O; And honestly - I really don't mean to be offensive or anything - I just can't understand how they can be pushing you to rush rush rush to get an education - if you just do it quickly to get it over with to please them, you're kind of wasting it because you're not going to be learning as much, ya know? I'm sorry but that's just wrong lol I've heard of so many parents being like that lately and it really ticks me off - I mean, I get the whole "wanting to do what's best for your child" thing - but seriously, it's like it's YOUR KID'S LIFE, NOT YOURS. Quit trying to live vicariously through them, ya know? Drives me crazy when I see people pressured into crap like that and then come out regretting it and having to go back to college and such because they're unhappy with how their life has turned out due to their occupation :/ Maybe I'm just mouthy and headstrong and opinionated, but I wouldn't stand for that lol I do what I want with my future - it's MY life and MY future and MY job. It's not them that's doing it, it's not them that has to be happy doing it every day of their life. It's like my Mom - all through high school she was pushing me to go be a doctor - finally when I chose my colleges, I kinda told her off and said I'm going for Art so back off xD; She did and she supports me :3 She still wants me to be a doctor, but she knows it's not what makes me happy and she respects that so she let it go :3 Maybe you should just have a talk with your parents about that and get them off your back? It's probably take a LOT of stress off you lol |
I do know what a megapixel is. My parents bought the camera for me as a gift, so I feel kind of bad for them that it doesn't work that well. 8P

STOP BUYING ME THE FIGURINES!!!" I think Mom finally got him to quit, 'cause I haven't seen them in awhile -- but when he gave them to me I thanked him or whatever - and then gave them to my Mom to get rid of XD; I felt bad - but it just wasn't working for me, ya know? Is it a new camera or an old one? If it's an old one, I'd ask if you could have a new camera for your trip to China and see if you can pick it out yourself because you have the perfect one in mind :3 Or if it's a new one - maybe sell it or exchange it and explain to your parents that it's not working right? |

It was a Christmas present from last year. 8P And I can't do that because we don't have the money. I didn't really realize that it sucked until I started using it more frequently recently... It takes videos alright, but for stills the lighting\sharpness\whatever aren't so great.

They are pushy! I've even told them that my college is a 5-year college! And they're like "I've never heard of such a thing" and "there's no such thing as a 5-year college." Well..I'd love to see someone do their curriculum in four years...especially when the only students who can take summer classes are the students in the adult degree program! Then she wants me to go right on into getting my masters after I finish! I want to take a break and actually get a job so I can get some money because financial aid drops greatly once you start going up there. :/ And all my teachers and the guest speakers we have who went for their masters or higher all say you should take a year off from school before you go for your masters. She also says you can get your master's in a year but I don't know a single person who has. :/ And my dad won't help in the situation. My mom tried to stay out of it since they are divorced but if it comes to the point where she has to butt heads with them, she will! Mai: Oops...I didn't mean to offend you. What I meant was if you knew what the mega pixel of your camera was, not if you knew what a mega pixel was. Sorry for my poor sentencing. Forgive? 8mp is decent enough...a lot better than what my old Kodek was which was a 5mp. My dad's girlfriend uses that camera now. But if they breakup...she has to give it back because I said she could use it, not have it...she can have it if she wants to buy it from me though. XD Hello, Estrella! I'd honestly just sit down with them then and make them understand that it's your life, not theirs lol And yeah - some colleges are 5 years - some even only have 1 class per semester -- every college is different~ For your Masters you only need a year o.O; Basically a Masters degree is 1 more year after your BA degree :3 Then Doctorate is usually about 3-4 years after that, depending on how long it takes you to do your thesis or whatever :3 It all depends on the college/degree, I guess though :3 And honestly - if it were me, I'd be working through college if possible, take a year off and work as much as you can, save up a good amount (but don't keep it in a bank or you'll get less financial aid available), and then see where you're at after that year and go for it then :3 But that's just me and I know how hard it is to get money/a job :3 Either way - my advice would be to do what you want to do and just ignore them or tell them to shove it to be honest. I know it sounds harsh or whatever - but you don't need them bringing you down or making your life miserable and stressful - you need to do what's best for you, and that's how it always should be no matter what decision in life you're making :3 Alrighty! Yeah, today hasn't been very pleasant either. :\ The youngest napped most of the time but when he woke up he woke up screaming bloody murder. For a good fifteen minutes solid, too. And every time I tried to pick him up or talk to him he'd scream harder. :sweat: Then all the kids started getting grouchy because they were hungry so I went to see what I could make for dinner. There, is like, literally no food in this house that can be cooked quickly. I wasn't sure how long I'd be babysitting so I wasn't planning ahead for dinner. :sweat: I thought about ordering a pizza but last I heard they aren't feeding their children bread or gluten. So...yeah. Anyway, I'm ready to go get myself some crab puffs go home and have a beer. |

He's a mamma's boy so he gets upset whenever she's not around. He use to scream for a full twenty minutes as soon as she left the house. And last night at bed time he screamed again. :lol: "I WANT MOMMY." I, personally, think it's a good thing for a kiddo to be comfortable enough for mommy to leave. :sweat: It's not like I'm a stranger to him. Haha, yeah, they took longer. I think they got home around 9:30pm. I don't think I've had wine coolers since I've been old enough to buy my own alcohol. Mai - Mene is terrible that early in the morning! |
