Unless they actually took you to a psychiatric center to get evaluated, he was just a doctor making a guess :3 Don't worry, I had medical problems going on and my doctor kept telling me I was depressed XD; Yeah... No, I just needed to see a urologist and get my organs relatively back to normal size and working again :P Doctors are not always the brightest when they're out of their spectrum, and it sounds like your doctor was the same way :3 Hahaha I thought you had taken a class in school or something before going over there to at least get the basics down xD; I didn't realize you weren't that great at it! Yeahh - not knowing the language well definitely doesn't help haha |
Nooope. 8P I'm staying with family, so that helps a little. Not that I'm averse to learning Chinese; my mom's sending over some "learn Chinese" textbooks from my brother. I hope they get here soon. C:

I know when I was in high school there was a Spanish teaching website thing that was basically an online website for teachers to print off work sheets and lesson plans on how to teach Spanish - I'd definitely give it a google search and see if you can't find something! |

I did warn the woman from the beginning though that I can't draw men and that it probably wouldn't turn out well, but she kept insisting and insisting so I told her I'd give it a shot. I absolutely hated it xD; Hahaha I think it's the boxy shape that's so difficult! It's like, they have a chest, but it's not a female chest, so it's hard to show that it's there without MAKING it a girl's chest. And then there's the actual abdomen and that's just all sorts of crazy to try and figure out without it looking like a box lol With the heads, they look so girly that it's hard to differentiate - I mean, look at my Alan Rickman piece back in July - to me it looks girly, and it's only a sketch :( Oh lol I thought it was a sold piece :3 I have no idea hun xD I hate pricing artwork because I either way over price or I under price and make the artist mad XD; Maybe post in the art forum and get people's opinions? I'm definitely not a good judge on how to price things that aren't actual items on the site :( Thank you! :) <3 I've dabbled in animals (foxes, deer, butterflies, cats, dogs) - but I've never really liked drawing them lol I mean, I can if I actually sat down and wanted too, but I've never had any draw to animals - I'd rather take photos of them instead :3 Yeahh - it's just finding the time though :( For me, I need like a few hours set aside of just time to work and not be bothered, ya know? I don't really have that :( |

I mean, I know there's abs and I account for that, but they're weird to me. >.> Ah, okay. Sorry - I thought maybe you might want to help pricing. Yeah, I'll ask around in the art forum to get some ideas when it gets closer to my shop opening time. :3 I don't like drawing animals either, hahaha. Although it's good practice for me because it helps me to remember to pay attention to the little details. And I understand about not having the time - that's the story of my life lately. XD;; |

Haha I completely agree - for me it's either pin straight weird or it's "abdomen-y" (which basically means it looks like he has protruding rib cages or cysts all over him) XD; I am so not good with it~ Maybe if I were a guy it'd be different 'cause I'd be more familiar with it? lol Idk - that was definitely something I was looking forward to getting help with as I progressed through the art classes at my previous college :( Ah well - I'll figure it out one way or another!! It was so beautiful <3 Then again, I think I loved it so much because it was of my favorite dance - Swan Lake - and it has reminiscence of The Swan Princess - one of my favorite movies <3 It did to a degree, but that's all it ever really does lol I've been letting it go and just using aspercreme on my back, but last night it was past the point of icyhot or aspercreme so I gave in and took the muscle relaxant :( It'd been a few weeks or over a month since I've last used one, so I can't complain too much lol I just hope it lasts and I don't have to take another one tonight (which tends to happen when I take one, it usually takes 2 to get rid of it completely-ish) :3 |

I was hoping to draw people in my art class in high school, but we mostly focused on still life, individual items, faces [which was a super fun lesson], and painting. Man I miss that class. D: I wish I could take art classes at my college, but they don't let you unless you are an art major/minor, and majors get to pick classes first, so minoring in art basically guarantees you nothing. I mean, I have a couple pictures from the working stages, but after the latest picture that I had I had done a lot of editing and detail work etc - it would have been nice to compare, see how I improved it (to a degree), and then go from there. But nope! Not happening with that drawing :/ Well that just sucks :( </3 My old college doesn't limit you from taking them, but art majors get first pick because they need it more for their degree :3 I'm not sure about my new college because I'm online and am not taking courses at the college, but I can't imagine it's limiting either - at least I would hope not!! In high school we did a lot of print making and just a little bit of everything - did a lot of movie watching and art magazine looking. It was rather... dull, because I had been doing what they were teaching (other than print making because I HATE print making with a passion) since I was 3, so it was kind of just review lol But my art teacher was amazing and let me just do my own work and do whatever I wanted, even if the class wasn't doing what I was doing and was on to something else :3 As long as I had work to show her by the end of the year, then she didn't care what I did because she loved my work and wanted me to develop what I was interested in, ya know? -snugs- Okies! I'll wait patiently until then :D <3 Ehh - I wasn't expecting it to stay alive, so it wasn't much of a surprise/let down xD; Maybe my prices were too high or my art wasn't good enough - or maybe a combo of both? Ah well - not the end of the world! I'll just stick with posting and roleplaying (when I have time for it) and get goldies that way :3 It's going really well - we're getting a lot of sales and a lot more people in, so it's really nice to see the traffic picking up :3 It's such good reception when they walk in that it really boosts our confidence about our stuff, ya know? |
