When she finally came down he let out a small sigh. She looked gorgeous. Gently he took her hand once she got to him and guided her to the study, where everything was set out.
Before he opened the door for Layla he turned to look at her. "You look so...beautiful." he decided. Then he pushed the heavy doors open and allowed the girl to walk in first.

The mayor and some other men were there, ready to make sure it was all legal.

Layla thanked him as she gracefully made her way into the room where the mayor was and few other men she said hello to all of them and waited for it all to start. In the pit of her tummy she had knots , the idea of running away did not sound so bad she began to picture what it would have been like to marry a man she loved...

Marcus seemed to be calm. Soon enough the Mayor had spoken out his words and they were asked over to the desk.
The tall blonde gracefully picked up the goose feather and signed the paper in curly letters. Then he stepped back. "Layla, it's your turn to sign now." he said as he offered her the feather.

Layla froze for a moment was she willing to sign her life away to a man she barely knew she couldn't but she was going to because she had no choice. Layla gracefully toke the feather and signed the paper , she wished this was all a dream and she wished that she could wake up fast

When everything was settled Marcus needed to sign a few more documents before the Mayor and his companions took off.
As they left Marcus turned to look at Layla. "Well then." he said. "Now you're married." Slowly he moved to her and leaned down a bit. "What about we just go with one tradition? The kiss."

Layla blushed a bit truth be told she had never been kissed before in her life so the thought of being kissed by a man was a bit over whelming.

He tilted his head and leaned in slowly. When his lips were about to touch hers he closed his eyes and waited for her to inch closer. His hands had moved to hold her waist already. If he wasn't going to have a honeymoon, a kiss would need to do.

Layla lightly placed her lips on his and then tried to pull away but his grip around her small waist would not let her

Softly he kissed her. He didn't do more than just a small peck on the lips. After a short while he brok the kiss and smiled. "That wasn't that hard, now was it, dear?" he asked her before he released her waist and cocked his head to the side. A few strands of golden hair fell out of place and landed in his face.

Layla looked up at him and then left the room she went out into the garden and rested by the roses she picked one out and began to smell it she wanted to forget today and that kiss she wiped her lips over and over again wanting to wipe away the feeling of his lips. finally she gave up and laid on the grass feeling the sun on her body it warmth

Marcus let out a soft sigh before he rubbed his head slightly. Sometimes he really didn't understand girls. It was just a kiss...
Slowly he stretched out slightly and moved to his desk to sit down. He pulled out a good cigar and lit it. After taking a long drag he watched the end burn. "Heh. Well then. Back to normal life." he stated and clenched the burning cigar between his teeth before he pulled out his usual work and continued with it. There wasn't anything else to do, right?

Layla rolled on her back suddenly a maid came to " hello my lady your mother sent you this puppy as a wedding gift" Layla turned around it was a border collie a wonderful beautiful dog, Layla's eyes were full with happiness as she hugged the puppy in her arms " send her my thanks and tell her he is the most wonderful dog i have ever seen in my life"

The blonde was working hard until he heard horses hooves and shouts coming from outside. He stood up and turned to the window, only to witness a fierce horse being brought in by four strong men. They had trouble with the dark coloured horse with pale mane.
"Thanks dad..." Marcus muttered before he moved outside and called out to one of the men in his native tongue. The man replied with a shrug and then just tossed one of the ropes to Marcus. "Well...I guess, this is my gift." he sighed. He then gripped the rope tightly and ordered the other men to hold on as well.

Layla began to play with the puppy it ran around her and gave her lots of kisses layla finally sat down and place the puppy on her lap " i will name you Nicholas and you will be the greatest Dog the world has ever seen" Layla hiugged the dog tight to her chest

The horse was led to the stables, where it suddenly reared and knocked Marcus over. The hoof had hit his head fully. One of Marcus' stable hands managed to pull his employer away from the horse, leading him out of the stable building. The wound was rather nasty and bleeding terribly.

The other men managed to get the horse into one of the boxes and tied it down, so it couldn't cause more victims. Marcus stumbled a bit further on his own before he passed out.

A maid had seen it happen and had another one get the doctor while Edward and that stable boy gave first aid on the spot. The maid in question went out to find Layla. "Miss, something terrible has happened!"

layla stood up and faced the maid she handed the puppy off to another maid " what happened is someone hurt?" layla was scared now

The maid worriedly looked at her and folded her hands in front of her apron. "There was a horse brought in..Marcus wanted to take it to the stables himself, but...I don't know what happened but Lord Marcus has an injury to his head, he's bleeding badly. Someone is on their way getting a doctor..." she told the young lady.

" oh my lord in heaven where is he in his room?" Layla was worried deeply she would not wish anything bad on anyone she would be worried if anyone got hurt

"Right now they are treating him on the spot. You'd better not go and see...It's not a nice sight." she stated.

Meanwhile Marcus was brought by so everyone was sure that he would be okay. He was in so much pain that he screamed out. Not just once or twice, no the entire time. He was kicking and flailing, trying to protect his hurt body. When there was a cloth put against his wound he screamed even louder. Soon other staff members go to help as well. Together they managed to put Marcus on his legs and hurried him to his bedroom. His entire face was covered in blood and he left a trail of crimson drops all through the house.

Layla was walking towards the sight when she ran into the people bring him up the stairs her eyes got wide with fear never in her fifteen years of life had she seen so much blood " oh my lord what happened!? why is he in so much pain?"

Edward turned to her. "Layla, better stay out of the way." he didn't mean to be rude, but they couldn't use her questioning at the moment. As soon as they were up the stairs Marcus began to sink through his legs again, shifting in and out consciousness. The staff got him to bed and held them down firmly, holding the cloth to the wound to stop the bleeding.

When things seemed to have calmed down the stable boy turned to Layla. "The horse was fierce and managed to kick him in the head." he explained while he wiped his bloody hands off to his clothing.

Layla thanked the stable boy for telling her and then she sat at the side of his bed " did someone call the doctor already ?" layla grabbed Marcus's hand lightly so she would not be hurting him he seemed to be in so much pain " oh my lord what has happened to you is a sin"

The boy had nodded to her. "The doctor should be here any minute now." He stated and headed back out again.

Marcus was still struggling. When he felt Layla's hand he grabbed it firmly. "It HUURTS!" he cried out as he tried to grip his head. Edward however, prevented that. "Stay down!" he told his lord before he pulled the flask of one of the others employee's from his hand and had Marcus drink it all, alcohol, to ease the pain and make him bleed even worse.

" why are you giving him that he will bleed to death " Layla knocked the flask out of his hands " the doctor will be here soon you will be alright i promise you the doctor will give something to make you feel better to help with the pain ....." Layla suddenly remembered something "Edward can you get me some clean leaves and oils in my room on the night stand as well as some pine leaves?" Bella new a remedy that could reduce the pain by a lot

Edward looked at her. "It'll help against the pain." he stated before he looked at her and sighed. When she asked him that he nodded and dashed off to get it.

The moment Edward let go of Marcus' wrists he gripped his head, holding it tightly, pressing the cloth firmly against his head himself. "NNnggg..." he groaned. Now Marcus could handle a lot, but this was insane!

Edward returned quickly and handed Layla the things she had asked for. "Here you go."
