The Diversity of the Alphabet

Just a random idea for a new word game. I'm not aware if it's already taken. I doubt it is. So, I'm sure a lot of people of Menewsha know other languages or at least a word or phrase of a different language. The world is a diverse place. ;) I love you all! But anyway, that was random. Okay.

The rules are very simple:

The first person comes up with a 'foreign' (not English) word that starts with the first letter of the alphabet. (And, by the way, if you don't know what that is, it's "A".)
The next person comes up with a 'foreign' word that starts with the next letter "B".
The next person comes up with a 'foreign' word that starts with the letter "C".
ETC...

P.S. Be sure to include the meaning of the word and the language. Also, please write it in romanized characters somewhere in your post so that others who can't read it will be able to follow and hopefully learn something. :)

Rules of the thread:

No spamming, double posting, flaming, etc... You know the drill, hopefully.

Have fun! And I'll start with 'A'.
