Hikako started to cry when he heard his mother was dead. "What?! what happened?.....tell me father!" He yelled with saddness in his eyes.

"I can't Hikako..." he said.
|
Hikako was getting furious, he grabbed his father's shirt and held him into the air. "Tell me!! Please!! I deserve to know this after you left me for so long!!" He screamed.

"I CAN'T!" he screamed.
|
"Why?! Why cant you?!" Hikako fell to his knees begging his father to tell him the truth. "I dont care what it is! Please just tell me! I want to know!"
|
He sighed. "Hikako, she died because of you..." he said.
|
Hikako was completely shocked to hear the truth, he dropped his father to the ground, and slowly backed away. "What?....she.....d-died...because of......me?" He looked as if he was about to go mad.

"When she was having you, the doctor told her if you were to come out, she would die. He gave her a choice Hikako, she loved you." he said.
|
"Then who....was the woman......that took care of me?...." He looked at his father sadly, thinking that the woman who took care of him was his mother.
|
"The nanny we hired." he said.
|
Hikako was speechless everything and basically everyone he ever knew was all a lie. He looked away from his father and walked away slowly.

His father ran after him and grabbed his arm. "Hikako..."
|
"Let Go Of Me!!" Hikako pulled his arm away from his father's grip. "You've lied to me all these years!! I know why you did it!! you didnt want me to be sad right!?" He screamed and started to cry. "Well I would've been sad! but that doesnt mean you had to lie to me!! I deserved to know!! she was my mom!! how could you?!"

"Hikako! Think about it, when you were a day old baby, do you think you would have understood me?" he asked.

"But still! you could have told me soon or later! You've kept this a secret from me for 24 years!! for 24 years I've looked for you two!!" Hikako kept screaming in sorrow. "Do you realize the pain I went through?!"

"Hikako, I've been working to hold up a job to come find you and take you with me to start a new life. Now that I've found you, I can. Whaddya say?" he asked with true love in his eyes.

Hikako wanted to accept going with his father and live a new life, but suddenly he thought about Anna. "I'm sorry....but I cant....." He loved her, and didnt want to leave her. He didnt care even if she didnt love him. "I have to go do something....I should have done a while back....goodbye.....father..." He walked away from him.

His father put down his head in shame and walked away as a tear paraded down his cheek.

After a few minutes Hikako got back to Anna's home, before he knocked on the door he took a deep breath in. Then he let it out and knocked on the door. He may have said that he didnt care if she loved him back or not but deep within himself he really did care.

Anna answered the door and moved aside. "Come in." she said.
|
Hikako smiled and walked in, when he got inside he stood there and didnt look at Anna. "I have something to tell you...." He said.

"What's that?" she asked tilting her head a bit.
|
Hikako still didnt look at Anna. "I-I.......love......you" He said softly.
|
Anna's eyes grew wide, she loved him back, but didn't know how to say it. "Hikako?"
|
Hikako turned around and looked at Anna. "Anna, I.....love you." he said a little more confidently, then he looked down. "Its okay.....if you dont love me.....I understand.....I just wanted to let you know...." He started to walk away.
