(OOC: Coolness. That was sure to the roomie question, yes? I'm assuming so correct me if I'm wrong and I'll edit.)
Haruka raised an eyebrow and smiled at Yuki, "I thought that was my job." She shrugged, "Come on then, the estate must be around here somewhere." Suddenly realizing she should have asked her current roommate before offering to share their home with the dog, Haruka ducked her head and told Yuki sheepishly, "I asked Yukina-san if she wanted to turn our den into a bedroom. I hope that's okay...I couldn't strand her in the house with Satori." |
Yuki smiled, Haruka wasn't bad either but she was a bit evil sometimes. "Yeah, oh it's ok with me and understood" Yuki said standing up and walking to Haruka's side.
<(OOC: it was a yes)> |
Haruka smiled at Yuki. The younger girl could be a bit difficult to get close to but Haru had been working at it for several years and she considered the ram one of her closest friends within the juunishi. She wasn't sure if the girl totally trusted her yet but that didn't really matter to the easy going cow. 'Heck, I wouldn't trust me either.' She mused, thinking of her black outbursts.
She shook the thought off and looked around. "Let's go this way." She started down a random street and motioned for the other two teens to follow. True, she had no idea where she was going, but with all three of them looking, someone would recognize something familiar eventually. They'd make it home in plenty of time for the feast. |
Kyo hugged Satori back softly and looked at her. "Did you want me to do anything else... Maybe talk to her?" he offered hoping he could help his cusin out of the closet. He never liked it when Satori acted out like that. He knew the real Satori though she hardly let it show. He just wished others could understand as well. He looked at her and smiled reasuringly. "You have to promise me you won't over do anything while I'm here for the feast." he said softly. He knew many of the zodiac would think that he was crazy even to talk to god. But unlike them he had seen it as a challenge and he could never say no to challenges.
"Ok, if we can find one of the streets I use to get to school I'll be able to find our way home" Yuki said following her. She glance around but everything seemed to change when it was darker. I hope Haruka doesn't go black while were looking for the house Yuki thought to herself panicking a little.
She suddenly remembered Kyo speeding off without her. I'm going to kill him one day Yuki thought madly. Even though she doesn't fight she knows how to. |
Satori smiled at him.
"Very well you handle the monkey. I beilive she is right outside. You may let the other one out of the closet if you wish. You being here has cheered me up." She sat back down and sipped at her tea. She had a lot on her mind. She hated being mean to people but sometimes they just made her so mad because they acted stupid. She hated stupidity. Kyo on the other hand.........He was special. She loved him the most and always would. SHe would never let it show not even to him but she could never make herself harm him. He was to important to her. |
Kyo smiled and bowed slightly. "Very well. I'll take care of them." he said softly and looked at Satori. "Ill be back in a while to check on you." he said and walked out of the room. He then looked at Peng and Leiko. "Who's in there exactly?" he asked wanting to make sure he approached the person with extreme care. He didn't want to frighten them more then Satori probily had.
Haruka nodded and kept wandering along with the two Yuki's in tow. She was oddly at peace. She always was when she resigned herself to being lost. She just let her mind drift and her feet took her where ever they felt like going. Chewing her now tasteless gum slowly, she blinked as she happened to spot a familiar building.
"Yuki-chan, do you go past Negi-san's tea house on your way home from school?" She asked the ram, pointing over at said tea house as they had just come out of a side street a little ways down the road from it. Haruka once again pondered her ability to consistently find that building when she couldn't keep track of her own home or school half the time. (OOC: Umm, minna-san. I think the monkey is a girl.) |
"Yeah I think you should follow me" Yuki said looking at the tea house. She took the lead and passed the shop, at the corner she turned right and walked down the sidewalk hoping Haruka would still be following her. She glanced at one of the street lights flickering on and off. They're on already? Yuki asked herself silently. It was darker, yes, but it wasn't completely night. She turned her attention back to the sidewalk in front of her. "Haruka why are you out here in the first place?" Yuki asked.
Leiko was surprised when Kyo approached them. Her heart was beating so fast she lightly pressed a hand to her chest. "Oh, it is Rei. Nice to see you again Kyo," she answered softly. She knew that Kyo sometimes did god's dirty work. It was no surprise to her that he was coming to take care of Rei. "Please don't be too hard on her," she pleaded with Kyo. Leiko hated the punishments. It wasn't far that god could decide who could be punished and who couldn't.
Kyo looked at Leiko surprised. "I was... Just getting her out of there...." he said softly. He shook his head knowing people thought he did Satori's dirty work... He had used to... But after the insident he refused to hurt anyone anymore. He then looked at both of them. "If the monkey comes in tell her to find me... Not satori..." he said and looked at leiko and then shook his head. He knew she was just being protective but it did hurt him to know that others feared him because he was close to Satori.
During the space of time she was in the closet Rei's head started to fill will memories. Of her parents...of her dance lessons...of the children she used to play with. Of all the time she was alone...Her eyes drifted shut and she nodded off, slipping into a nightmare almost effortlessly. She didn't sleep much, frankly because she was scared to. Nightmares seemed to plague her every sleeping moment. Being in the closet though...it made everything worse. Her expression screwed up into one of pain and she curled up on the floor, hands unconsciously clutching at her hair, a small whimper passing through her slightly parted lips.
Haruka shrugged, "I was on my way home from school." She simplified her eventful evening into that explanation, which didn't explain why she was still wandering around hours after school had ended. Then again, Yuki knew about Haruka's lack of a sense of direction and was probably just asking to have something to say. The younger girl wasn't used to being out after dark and the city could be a little frightening at night.
As they walked, Haruka decided to let Yuki and Yukina in on her latest news, "Don't tell anyone else, but I ran into Negi-san and he offered me a job in his tea house." She smiled, showing her face since she was alone with people who were used to or didn't seem to mind her mauled features. "He's even going to teach me to cook." She blushed, knowing that the incident in her home economics class was well known to Yuki. (OOC: I mentioned it in a previous post with Negi. She was kicked out of home ec after she nearly burned down the school while attempting to make rice balls/onigiri. Yes, she is THAT bad a cook.) |
She saw the hurt on his face and felt quite bad. Reaching out she touched his arm. "I apologize... it seems I am mistaken. Thank you for coming to get Rei out," Leiko stated quickly. The rat frowned at him realized she had indeed hurt his feelings. "Of course, if I see her I will send her to you... I am sorry Kyo," Leiko apologized again. This was her weakness. She disliked hurting people, she never meant to she just did. Especially when her temper flared, that was never good. She looked to the floor in embarrassment.
"Sweet ...let's hope you don't burn anything down" Yuki said smiling. She turned another corner and the main house was in site. "Were here" Yuki said looking at the gates.
Haruka's face went blank as she looked at the gates, on one hand she was happy because her companions seemed uncomfortable out in the night, but a larger part of her wanted to turn around and get lost again. She sighed and ground her gum between her teeth.
"Yeah, come on, Yukina. You can stay with us for tonight and decide later whether to make it a permanent arrangement." She headed for the gate and then paused to let the Yuki lead the way, 'No sense in getting lost in my own yard.' she decided. (OOC: I hope Ember doesn't mind that I have just sort of dragged her along behind me...) |
Kyo smiled reasuringly. "Its fine Leiko..." he said and then looked at the door. "We'll have to catch up sometime." he said lightly and went to the closet door. He nodded to peng and opened it. "Rei? Hey... Are you alright?" he asked softly his footsteps barely making a sound. Seeing her curled in the corner he quickly walked to her side and kneeled next to her. "Its alright... You can come out now..." he said softly.
Rei's eyes snapped open when Kyo kneeled down next to her. Her eyes narrowed slightly at him but didn't move besides that. Instead she watched him warily, what was he doing here? On Satori's bidding? No...if it was that he would have dragged her out of the closet...maybe it was a new tactic? She doubted that too. So...instead of doing anything she just stared at him, thinking. His intentions were probably good ones but...Rei wasn't ready to trust anyone fully again. Not for a long while at least.
"Ok" Yuki walked towards the door to the house. She opened the door, took her shoes off, and put them next to the door.
Leiko nodded in response with a smile. "We should, feel free to find me if you would like to chat later tonight," she grinned. The rat felt at ease realizing he was not here to hurt Rei. She looked over his shoulder as he comforted Rei. A soft smile on her face glad to know he wasn't so much Satori's pet anymore.
Kyo smiled warmly knowing the horrors this place held and understood trust for her would be thin. "Lets get you out of here... You don't want to stay in here I'm sure..." he said softly and lifted her gently. He knew she could get angry at him but he could take it. He walked out of the closet with her in his arms and smiled. He gently set her down and looked at her bruise. "You'll be clear of that in about a week." he said and looked at Leiko and smiled. "She should be fine." he said and stood. He knew that he should go find the monkey but he had an erge to linger a little longer... Something that rarely happened.
Leiko looked to Kyo and nodded when he said Rei would be fine. "Thank you," she said softly with a smile. She had never seen him so nice, then again she had never tried to hard to get to know him since she thought he was god's pet. Leiko saw the bruise on Rei's chin and gritted her teeth. She hated that God would do this. If she could she would flip out on her, but she knew better. She had lost her temper on God before, and it did not go well for her. Her eyes traveled over to Kyo as she smiled at him.
Kyo nodded and looked around his eyes flashing as he did. "I really don't want to find that monkey right now..." he said softly knowing the little trickster was probily hiding somewhere. He personally wanted to train. He hadn't train in a few days because of traveling.... And training was his life... "What do you think Leiko? Should I find the monkey or train?" he asked lightly.
When Kyo picked her up Rei immediately tensed, physical touch was something she didn't take really well...it was what had landed her in the closet after all. When he set her down Rei's hands clenched at the fabric on the inside of her overlarge sleeves. He was being nice to her...why couldn't she be nice back? When he commented on her bruise she unclenched one hand and raised it to hover over the mark, "I...am not worried about that." She averted her eyes and bowed slightly, "I...Thank you Kyo-san." After she straightened up again both hands went up to fix her hat again so that the shadow it cast was cast over her eyes to hide them, her sleeves slid back to show her thin, pale arms. then she lowered them again and shook the sleeves back to cover them. Quietly listening to his and Leiko's conversation, she didn't know whether to leave or not...at least not yet. Maybe Peng would take a walk with her?
(OOC: House Yuki, not just a room in the main house. I'm not living in the house with Satori 'cause I'd stay black all the time, lol. So, we each will have our own room.)
Haruka kicked off her shoes and then showed Yukina to the den/guestroom. She then went back into the living room and flopped down on a cushion next to a low table. "I'm hungry." She announced with a frown. Her snacks with Negi seemed like a long time ago. she looked towards the kitchen, wondering if she might be able to turn anything in there into food. |
